| British Homosexual Police Organization Under Investigation Britain’s Gay Police Association (GPA) is being investigated by Scotland Yard after it claimed in an advertisement that attacks against homosexuals resulted from the perpetrators’ religious beliefs. According to the BBC (July 19, 2006), the advertisement depicts a Bible next to a pool of blood under the heading: “In the name of the Father.” The ad appeared in the Diversity supplement of the Independent newspaper on June 29, two days ahead of the “Europride Gay and Lesbian Parade” in London. It stated: "In the last 12 months, the GPA has recorded a 74% increase in homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator." According to Hilary White of Life Site News (July 21, 2006), the trouble began when a homosexual who applied to join the Christian Police Association (CPA) was told that he would have to give up his homosexual activity. The CPA’s position paper on homosexuality says it rejects “homophobia” but refuses to endorse homosexual activity. Equating voluntary homosexual behavior with race and gender, Gay Police Association (GPA) spokesman, Vic Codling, complained, “Black or female police officers wouldn't be asked to be ‘less black’ or ‘less female’ in order to join staff associations, so why should gay or lesbian officers?” The CPA's Executive Director, Don Axcell, told BBC News, “(The GPA) published a vitriolic article in Police Review magazine about faith-based homophobia. We've been trying to work through conciliation, but we keep coming up against conflict.” Scotland Yard has said that its inquiry into the GPA advertisement was prompted by a complaint from a member of the public. Although the GPA has refused to comment on the investigation, British homosexual activists have rushed to the group’s defense. Ben Summerskill, chief executive of the Stonewall organization said: “The advert is based on robust evidence, we currently know of a number of cases where the motivation is clearly based on someone’s beliefs from the Bible.” Peter Tatchell of the group, Outrage, said, “The GPA wouldn’t be saying these things if they weren’t valid.” And George Broadhead, secretary of The Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association, wrote a letter of support to the GPA, in which he stated, “How religious people can claim that their faith is not homophobic is incomprehensible.” Comment: In its Diversity Position Statement, the Gay Police Association (GPA) announces that it is “committed to the principles of valuing diversity and promoting equality in all its forms.” They also claim that the following groups are “more likely to experience prejudice, discrimination and disadvantage.” Take note of this list: · People with disabilities · Gay and bi-sexual people · People from minority ethnic backgrounds · People of transgender & women It’s a not-too-clever mix-&-match of various social causes, based on the assumption that if you offer a gumbo of legitimate and non-legitimate elements, no one will notice or care. So, the disabled person is paired off with the bi-sexual. The ethic minority is paired off with the homosexual. And, in a bizarre match, one which should be offensive to any female reading this, women are paired off with the “transgendered.” It’s a trail-mix of the downtrodden, and it wouldn’t fool a 5th grader who had his wits about him. The GPA was formed in 1990, and bills itself as “a formally recognized and respected staff association with members in all 52 UK police forces.” It claims to “educate the police service and central government on all issues connected with sexual orientation and policing.” These issues include “policy development, the investigation of homophobic hate crime, victim care, family and community liaison.” Policy development, eh? That could explain some things. Back in January of 2006, The Daily Mail (UK) reported that the Organizers of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender History Month received the support of Scotland Yard to teach children that famous historical figures were gay and to study sexual swear words. In fact, the Metropolitan Police Authority donated £3,125 (approximately $5,500.00) to the project. To educate the police service on all issues connected with sexual orientation and policing, eh? In December of 2005, author Lynette Burrows was accused by a Scotland Yard officer of being involved in a "homophobic incident" after criticizing gay adoption on a BBC program. Days after she received this warning, the Daily Mail revealed that a Christian couple in Lancashire were told by police that they were "walking on eggshells" after complaining to their council about its gay rights policies. It is not a pretty sight when law enforcement personnel become the pawns of the homosexual agenda. On August 4, 2006, World Net Daily reported on the activities of homosexual-activist police officer Sgt. Stephen Allen at the Promise Keepers conference in Fort Lauderdale. Sgt. Allen, assigned to security at the conference, is now being investigated for threatening members of a Christian organization who were petitioning for a state constitutional marriage amendment. According to witnesses, he ordered the volunteers to stop accepting names, while other officers physically removed the petitions from public view. As a final mockery, two male police officers then kissed each other in front of the volunteers. The kiss was captured on camera. "I have never in my life seen such unprofessional and bizarre behavior from a law enforcement officer," said John Stemberger, the president and general counsel of the Florida Family Policy Council. That’s putting it mildly. So, Britain’s GPA comes up with a bloody Bible, a juvenile swipe at the big bad “authority figure” that reproaches their disordered agenda at every turn. A question needs to be voiced. Since when is it the job of any law enforcement organization to police the “straights”? The cases cited above set a grotesque and dangerous precedent. Be careful what you say while criticizing the “gay” agenda. You may wake up to find a member of the Village People at your door .... with a warrant! “Jim Crow” Alive & Well ... In Pakistan According to the Pakistan Christian Post (Aug. 4, 2006), a Christian stonemason was violently beaten just outside the city of Lahore after drinking from a public water glass. On Tuesday, June 6th, Nasir Ashraf was working on a school construction site when he got thirsty, drew water and drank from a glass chained to a public water tank next to a mosque. While returning to the construction site, a Muslim man asked, “Why did you drink water from this glass since you are a Christian?” He accused the mason of polluting the glass and proceeded to destroy it. The Muslim man then summoned a crowd by shouting, “This Christian polluted our glass,” and encouraging them to attack the offender. The crowd began beating Ashraf, eventually pushing him off a ledge. The fall dislocated his shoulder, broke his collarbone in two places and knocked him unconscious. Many Pakistani Muslims will not allow Christians to share their eating and drinking utensils because they regard Christians and many of the jobs they perform as unclean. According to a 2004 report by Asia News, in some areas of Pakistan, restaurant owners ask their patrons for their religion before serving them, and one restaurant in Hafizabad has separate utensils and washbasins for Muslims and non-Muslims. The Pakistan Christian Post reports that the practice of maintaining separate utensils for Muslims and Christians is widespread. Comment: Where is the righteous anger on the part of the media at the unceasing brutality inflicted daily upon Catholics and Protestants around the globe? To cite only a few examples from the last few months – - In Nigeria, a Muslim mob stoned and clubbed a woman to death, after overwhelming the police officers who were protecting her. Her crime? She distributed some Gospel tracts to Muslim youths and, thereby, “insulted the Prophet Muhammad.” (Compass Direct)
- A group of Hindu radicals attempted to burn down an electrical transformer as part of a plan to attack and rape 150 orphan girls at the Emmanuel Orphanage in Kota, Rajasthan (India). The plan failed when their actions led to an uncontrolled fire and brought many onlookers. (The Global Council of Indian Christians)
-In Pakistan, a man is freed on bail after kidnapping and raping a Christian high-school student in an effort to pressure her into converting to Islam. The girl was taken and violated by wealthy neighbors near the town of Faisalabad. Among the gang of criminals was Muhammad Kashif, who has been granted bail on the technicality that he is suffering from an illness. What is his illness? It is psoriasis. (Compass Direct) -In Lahore, Pakistan, a Christian father of three abducted daughters (aged 20, 16 and 15) who have been forcibly converted to Islam receives this letter from one of the kidnappers: You have invited your death by moving application in police station Factory Area, against Mohammad Ali and me. Each of bricks of the police station, every constable even the Station House Officer (S.H.O), all belong to us. You can not cause harm to us. If you want to live any more, withdraw your application from police station immediately. Otherwise we can kill you along with your wife and children. Your (three) daughters are in our custody, we can take any action against you by using them. They have embraced Islam and I got married with Najma Bibi [the eldest of the daughters]. Now she is my wife, she is Muslim now and you are Christian. She can not meet you now. I am sending their embracing Islam certificate and marriage certificate of Najma with me. Let you read it so that you can be satisfied. The letter was signed, “Angel of your death.” According to the report, Muslim gangsters follow Christian women to their workplaces – hospitals, factories, schools, etc. In collusion with the Muslim heads of these establishments, they pressure the young women to enter into illicit relations with them and, on denial, kidnap them and forcibly convert them to keep as mistresses. (Sharing Life Ministry-Pakistan) Such atrocities are daily fare throughout the world, but it is left to small “special interest groups” like the ones cited above, and not the mainstream press or talk-radio, to report on some of the worst outrages being perpetrated against humanity today. Jerusalem “World Pride”: An Utter Failure The Jerusalem WorldPride 2006 homosexual gathering, touted by its organizers as “part of the ongoing struggle for a democratic, free Jerusalem,” was a bust. According to Bay Windows (Aug. 10, 2006), which calls itself “New England’s Largest GLBT [gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender] Newspaper,” while the WorldPride organizers had hoped to entice thousands of participants from around the world, only “several hundred” actually attended. According to the Bay Windows report, two buses, loaded mainly with Americans, but with a smattering of Canadians, Europeans and a few Israelis from WorldPride organizers, The Jerusalem House, pulled up outside the giant gray concrete slabs near the gate of the Separation Wall separating Jerusalem from Bethlehem on the morning of August 9. The passengers, totaling about 100, waved rainbow flags, sang songs and carried signs bearing such slogans as “We Have Love” and “It Will Win.” This activity was conducted as Israeli security forces looked on, and tour buses and cars passed through the metal gate across what was the main path for Christian pilgrims on their way to the Church of the Nativity. “So many people canceled, it is even amazing we can have these events. It is totally surreal,” said a Jerusalem resident who was serving as a guide to a homosexual delegation from New York and San Francisco. The guide also said there was never any thought to canceling the “pride” event even with the war in progress. “It was obvious. We should carry on. It was postponed last year and if we had postponed it again ... there was really too much religious pressure. If it was postponed, it would not have happened at all. We probably won’t have any more marches. Maybe in 15 or 20 years, maybe with a new generation,” she continued. “Here in Jerusalem, we still have to fight against the religious.” The Jerusalem WorldPride event was also boycotted by the Al-Fatiha Foundation, a Washington, D.C., based organization “dedicated to Muslims who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, questioning (LGBTIQ).” In an August 8 open letter to WorldPride participants, Al-Fatiha defended its boycott of the event on grounds including “a system of apartheid institutionalized by the Israeli government and enforced by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) against Palestinian civilians” and “the recent systematic violence by Israel targeting civilian lives in Lebanon and the deliberate annihilation of Lebanese infrastructure of water and electric power plants, airports, seaports, highways, schools and hospitals.” Meanwhile, another blow was struck against the WorldPride organizers when a planned “anti-homophobia” rally, intended to replace the WorldPride Parade which had been canceled by the Jerusalem police, was also canceled by the police. The “Protest Against Hatred” had been intended to replace the actual “World Pride Parade” through the streets of Jerusalem, which was canceled as a result of public opposition, recent military actions and security concerns. According to Life Site News (Aug. 9, 2006), Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby announced that because Jerusalem Open House officials could offer no assurance that the protest would be limited in number and not spill out onto surrounding streets, the police have the legal capacity to proscribe the event. Comment: Throughout the months leading up to WorldPride 2006, opposition had continued to mount. On July 4, The Jerusalem Post reported that more than 50 prominent religious figures, representing Jerusalem’s Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities visited the Knesset’s Interior Committee to urge MKs (Members of the Knesset) to stop the WorldPride event. Several right-wing religious MKs brought the coalition to the Knesset, asserting that "never before has the Holy Land seen such a union of religious leaders." During the meeting, the religious figures urged the event's organizers to consider moving the parade to another city or canceling it altogether. The organizers of Jerusalem WorldPride had been asked repeatedly not to debase the Holy City through their deliberately provocative agenda. They were even asked to ply their wares in Tel Aviv, where they would be welcomed with open arms. It is nothing but their own inflexibility and continuing malicious desire to “stick it to the religious straights” that has directed such righteous anger in their direction. But, it is a simple rule of life. Don’t pick a fight unless you’re ready for the consequences. And people are fighting back. According to a May 27, 2006 report by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, “Police, Russian Orthodox believers, and ultra-nationalists today prevented gays and lesbians from holding Moscow’s first-ever gay-pride parade.” It goes on to relate the arrest of homosexual activist Nikolai Alekseyev, the driving force behind the march, and a handful of homosexual activists as they attempted to lay flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside the Kremlin walls. Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov said, in a May 26 radio interview, “as long as I am mayor, we will not permit these parades to be conducted.” He also stated that such marches would “provoke outrage in society,” while his spokesman added that any attempt to flout the ban would be "resolutely quashed." And this from a Russia that has not been properly consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as per the specific wishes of Our Lady of Fatima, a Russia still wallowing in the mire of schism. No, we will not take Russia as a model for morality. Far from it. But it IS time for homosexual activists to get off their martyr kick. There are only so many times that a fringe group can flaunt its contempt for “religious” values (for lack of a better term), only so many times that it can deliberately bait, antagonize and provoke the host culture before that culture will respond in kind. It is a common law of survival, and no one can or should expect less. As an aside, Rabbi Shlomo Amar, the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, had written to Pope Benedict XVI asking for the Church to issue an official condemnation of Jerusalem WorldPride. The Jerusalem Press reports (July 4, 2006) that, while the Pope has not commented on the event, an ambassador from the Vatican stated that "as a representative of the Holy See to Israel, I believe… holding this event would contradict the sacred nature of Jerusalem." A whisper when we should have heard a roar. Dagger Sheds Light On Ancient Civilization “A well-preserved 5,000-year-old golden dagger recovered from a tomb in Bulgaria has been described as a ‘sensational’ find that sheds light on the long-lost civilization of Thrace and shows the Thracians to be sophisticated metal-workers rather than illiterate, bloodthirsty savages,” reports The Independent, UK (Aug. 9, 2006). The artifact, which archaeologists believe dates back to 3,000 B.C., is the latest in a series of finds in central Bulgaria that have led to the region being called the "Valley of the Thracian Kings." "It's really a sensational discovery," said Bozhidar Dimitrov, head of the Bulgarian National Museum of History. "The dagger, which we believe is made of gold and platinum, most probably belonged to a Thracian ruler or to a priest." The dagger, about 16 inches long, has kept its sharpness for almost five millennia and the engravings on the hilt suggest it was used in sacrifices. "No item of this type was found even in Troy," said Mr. Dimitrov. More than 500 pieces of delicate golden jewelry were also found in the tomb, which was discovered two years ago near the village of Dubovo, 75 miles east of the capital, Sofia. The Thracians are believed to have lived in what is now Bulgaria, Romania, northern Greece and Turkey until the 8th century A.D., when they were assimilated by migrating Slavs. They were described by the 5th-century Greek historian, Herodotus, as savage and bloodthirsty warriors. This latest find suggests they were expert at more delicate industry. Archaeologists say the dagger indicates that they used complex metal-working methods which, for the period, were sophisticated. "This significant find confirmed that people in this region were familiar with what was then high technology in metal processing," Mr. Dimitrov said. Last year, archaeologists found more than 15,000 fragments of golden artifacts near Dubovo - which restorers reassembled to form several golden necklaces. Other finds include a golden mask and a magnificent crown wreath. |
