Father Lawrence Brey, RIP

Pioneer traditionalist priest dies
REMNANT PRESS RELEASE

Traditionalist pioneer priest and long-time friend of The Remnant, Fr. Lawrence Brey, went to his eternal reward on Monday, November 27, 2006.  He was 79. Remnant readers will recall the many outstanding articles, prayers and poems that were penned by this noble priest and printed in The Remnant beginning in the late 1960s.  Father was one of those valiant priests whose keen Catholic sense and faithful dedication to the old Mass prevented him from offering the New Mass even one time.  He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Home on 8th Avenue (N) in St. Cloud from 4-9pm on Thursday November 30. The Requiem High Mass will be Friday at 10am, also at the funeral home.  Father's body will likely be taken to Milwaukee, as he had previously arranged for his burial in the diocesan cemetery for priests.

Another Catholic warhorse has been retired to the mansions of eternity. May he rest in peace, "a priest forever according to the order of Melchisedech!" And may we carry on the fight with true Love and steadfast Loyalty to our glorious Catholic Faith, whatever the cost.
