Cardinal Zen Promotes the CIC’s Act of Reparation

The Chinese prelate, Cardinal Joseph Zen, took to X to urge the faithful to take part in the the viral Act of Reparation which was originally promulgated at the Catholic Identity Conference on October 4, 2025.

Cardinal Zen posted on X: “I saw in the news today that four bishops [Bishop Athanasius Schneider (Kazakhstan); Bishop Marian Eleganti (Switzerland); Bishop Robert Mutsaerts (Netherlands); Bishop Joseph Strickland (USA)] issued a statement, calling on everyone to seek the Lord’s forgiveness for this blasphemous act and to make an Act of Reparation. I strongly support this.

“I suggest to all brothers and sisters that, after the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, it would be best to gather with fellow parishioners for three days to recite the attached prayers and perform an act of self-denial or a charitable deed, offering reparation before God for our brothers and sisters who have sinned.”
