Someone drew my attention to a rumor floating around about alleged troubles for the Latin Mass on Pentecost Monday in Notre Dame de Chartres. Let me set the record straight: The concluding Traditional Latin Mass for the Chartres Pilgrimage on Pentecost Monday will take place in the Cathedral as always.
This year, it will be celebrated by the general chaplain of Notre-Dame de Chrétienté, Father de Massia, FSSP. In addition, His Excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider will celebrate the TLM on Pentecost Sunday along the road to Chartres.
Furthermore, during the Pentecost Monday Mass in Chartres, some 20,000 pilgrims will be honored to hear a sermon preached by Excellency Bishop Philippe Christory, Bishop of Chartres. His Excellency will speak on the Kingship of Jesus Christ (the theme of this year’s Chartres Pilgrimage). As US coordinator, I would like to thank His Excellency for his kindness in welcoming so many thousands of pilgrims from all over the world back to his Cathedral each and every year. His Excellency was kind enough to give us a short statement for our Chartres RTV documentary, “Guardian of Tradition,” which was released on the 30th Anniversary of The Remnant’s U.S. Chapter of Our Lady of Guadalupe:
