Don’t forget that Cardinal Zen is in prison for protesting against the communist regime in China. He has had zero support from the Vatican, who instead is renewing its secret-not-secret deal with the CCP.
Zen is not wholly without allies, however. Bishop Strickland is offering Mass today for the good cardinal as he faces a mock-trial the likes of which Nazi Germany would be proud.
