Bishops to Lead Global Act of Reparation for the “LGBTQ+” Abomination of Desolation in St. Peter’s Basilica
PITTSBURGH, PA – At 3:30PM EDT on Saturday, October 4, 2025, a global Act of Reparation, led by Roman Catholic bishops from three continents, will be livestreamed from the Catholic Identity Conference (CIC) being held this weekend in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Four Catholic bishops will lead some eight hundred CIC attendees in a formal Act of Reparation for the “LGBTQ+” Abomination of Desolation in St. Peter’s that took place on September 6, 2025. A Rosary will follow the Act. The event will be livestreamed globally at CatholicIdentityConference.org
In a September 10, 2025, interview with Vatican journalist, Diane Montagna, His Excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, described the “LGBTQ+ pilgrimage” through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica as an “unprecedented act… that may fittingly be described, in the words of Our Lord, as an ‘abomination of desolation standing in the holy place.’”
“The responsible authorities of the Holy See,” Schneider added, “collaborated de facto in undermining and calling into question the validity of God’s Sixth Commandment, particularly His explicit condemnation of homosexual activity.”
The CIC Act of Reparation will be led by Bishop Schneider who will be joined by Bishop Marian Eleganti (Switzerland), Bishop Robert Mutsaerts (Netherlands) and Bishop Joseph Strickland (USA). Organizers say up to one million Catholics worldwide are expected to join the effort.
The full text of the Act of Reparation will be available online at CatholicIdentityConference.org on October 4, 2025, at 3:30pm EDT.
CIC press credentials for the event will be provided upon request. Contact Cecelia Matt to apply: [email protected]
