Think back to the summer of 2019, when we had never heard of Francis’s Pachamama. If at that time someone had predicted all that we have experienced since the false idol’s October 2019 appearance in the Vatican — Covid-19 medical tyranny, BLM/Antifa riots, mass censorship of Christians and conservatives, Biden/Harris, The Great Reset, Traditionis Custodes, etc. — what would we have thought? If we had first considered the post-Pachamama world as a hypothetical future dystopia instead of discovering it piecemeal through disorienting experience, would we have realized that God must be permitting it all to call us back to Him? And if an angel of God had announced that we could avert these trials if we immediately began to live saintly lives, would we have resolved to do so?

There has been a flurry of articles in the press recently about a subject which comes up from time to time: Will the United States Supreme Court in its next session overturn Roe v. Wade? The first time this kind of speculation started, at least as far as I can remember, was Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992). City of Akron v. Akron Center for Reproductive Health (1986) and Webster v. Reproductive Health Services (1989) were important, too, but not nearly as monumental as Casey. Pro-lifers hoped mightily that Roe would be undone then. However, the Supreme Court held in Planned Parenthood v. Casey that Roe was fundamentally sound, that the Constitution of the United States, although the word “abortion” appears nowhere within it, guaranteed the right of a woman to “choose” to end the life growing within her.
The Lord has given to Bishops and Priests the power to cast out demons in His Name. Already on Holy Saturday of 2020 many of them welcomed my appeal with generosity and a supernatural spirit. Today I intend to renew this appeal. I ask, therefore, my venerable Brothers in the Episcopate and Priesthood to dedicate the Vigil of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to prayer and fasting, and to reciting the Exorcismus in Satanam et angelos apostaticos of Leo XIII (Rituale Romanum, Tit. XII, Caput III), at the hour of 12 noon in Rome. This sacramental will be placed under the mantle of the most fearful Adversary of the infernal powers, so that the choral prayer of the Ministers of God will remove from the Church and the world the snares of the Enemy of mankind which today threaten society, families, individuals, and in a particular way the faithful of Christ.
We support any Catholic who has come to this conviction in seeking religious exemption from any Covid-19 requirement.

As several astute Catholics have observed, Francis’s Traditionis Custodes has abruptly ended the “hermeneutic of continuity” campaign of confusion aimed at convincing the world that, despite all appearances, the reforms of Vatican II were in continuity with the timeless Catholic religion. As the letter accompanying Traditions Custodes made clear, one must choose between the beliefs and practices that Catholics held for nearly two thousand years or those that flow from Vatican II. If they are the same, why must one choose between them?
A sport might provide a metaphor for religion, which is good, as opposed to being a religion in itself, which is bad. St. Paul used metaphors from running and boxing, for example. Rowing provides a useful metaphor for the competition between the Traditional Mass and the New Mass, a competition which Traditionis custodes, the recent moto proprio from Pope Francis, has unfortunately raised to a fight for survival.
