ON GAZA: American Jews finally agree with Michael Matt

From mainstream talk shows to voices across social media and in viral documentaries—and frankly, the entire world with the exception of Israel and half the Republican Party in the USA—the situation in Gaza is recognized as a genocidal holocaust (called so by Jews themselves), with roots that run much deeper than October 7, 2023.

Michael Matt was calling out Israel’s criminal tactics by October 22, 2023, while most of the world was still proclaiming “Israel’s right to defend herself.” But now the call for peace and humanity and for Benjamin Netanyahu to be tried for war crimes has reached a fever pitch.

Peter Beinart, a mainstream American Jew who wrote the book “Being Jewish after the Destruction of Gaza”, is just one example of the growing cacophony of protest against Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and the USA’s complicity in it.
