Are We Absolutely Sure We’ve Got this “Man of the People” Bit Right?

This is pretty hard to watch, but it’s what happens when the pope is uncrowned, made into a man of the people, and reduced to baby kissing and the other stock-in-trade antics of the celebrity politician.

Please, God, can we just go back to honoring Christ’s vicar on earth, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and metropolitan of the Roman province, Sovereign of Vatican City-State, Servant of the Servants of God — as he should be honored.
