It may have been the first complete and mainstream Latin Mass Holy Triduum since the 1960s in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Celebrant, Father Jeffery Jambon, Latin Mass Chaplain for Lacombe, LA, said: “We had the Latin Mass Rituals Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday in our Latin Mass Community in Lacombe, LA. this year! Archbishop Gregory Aymond gave us permission to do the Latin Mass rites of the Holy Triduum in a chapel down the street from our parish Sacred Heart. The little chapel belongs to Sacred Heart and Sacred Heart in Lacombe, La is usually where we have our Sunday Mass at 12pm for the northern part of Lake Pontchartrain in the archdiocese of New Orleans.”
For Holy Thursday 97 people were in attendance. For Good Friday, 107 people. For the Easter Vigil we had 45 people. And on a glorious Easter Sunday the main Church in Sacred Heart in Lacombe saw 134 people in attendance.
Congratulations to our friends and allies in Lacombe. Tradition is the future! All glory, laud and honor to our Redeemer King!
