SOPHIST'S CHOICE: When Murder Becomes Healthcare

SOPHIST'S CHOICE: When Murder Becomes Healthcare

The debate over the recently-announced vaccine mandate is awash in illogic.

For example: vaccines are like seatbelts, we’re told. But how many of us have to wear three, four, even five seatbelts at a time?  How many of us have to buckle in to additional seatbelts the longer we drive?

Vaccines are safe, we’re told. But, to continue the seatbelts metaphor, how many people are killed by seatbelts every year? When’s the last time someone called you and said, in a whisper so the government censors couldn’t hear, “I fastened my seatbelt this morning and thought I was going to collapse”? Or, “You know Fred? He died last night. Yeah. Seatbelt got him.”

Anti-vaxxers are conspiracy theorists, therefore vaccines are fine, we’re told.

Vaccines are government-tested and government-approved, we’re told. So was the Kabul evacuation plan. So was Mark Milley’s security clearance. So was Operation Crossfire Hurricane.

The unvaccinated imperil the vaccinated, we’re told. (If so, then I have been getting the reasoning behind vaccination wrong for four decades and counting.)

Anti-vaxxers are conspiracy theorists, therefore vaccines are fine, we’re told. This is the genetic fallacy—“The source of your information is wrong, therefore the information must also be wrong.” Never mind that the mainstream media spent four years spinning a dizzying conspiracy theory about Donald Trump mind-melding with Vladimir Putin. Now we’re informed that conspiracy theories about vaccines disqualify doubts about vaccines. But let’s say a guy who believes that Q-Anon is Liza Minnelli walks in and says, “It’s raining.” You look out the window and, indeed, it’s pouring down rain. “Ain’t raining,” you reply, however. Because how can you trust a guy like that to have any correct information about anything?

And so on. Even the hedonistic Aleister Crowleyists in Hollywood, the ones who claim the right to engage in any kind of depraved behavior they choose and who make movies celebrating the debauchery they live out in their daily lives, tell us now—to quote a certain famous scion of a member of the Sturmabteilung—“Screw your freedom.” Dad was a Brownshirt and I have made a career out of my pecs and my skill at cinematic violence, but you peons are not free to think for yourselves.

The vaccine is not about the vaccine. That’s the first thing. The government doesn’t care if you live or die, as recent events in Afghanistan amply attest.

The only really logical meme-line I’ve seen so far about the vaccines is, “My Body, My Choice”. I thought that was the end-all, be-all of rebuttals. Now it turns out it’s crazy talk. Even the logic of illogic is illogical in this vaccine-slicked Twilight Zone.

But if we dig a little deeper I think we can see what is really going on.

The vaccine is not about the vaccine. That’s the first thing. The government doesn’t care if you live or die, as recent events in Afghanistan amply attest. Unvaccinated (as in, never got a vaccine for anything, ever) people pour across the southern border bringing in dread diseases like tuberculosis and smallpox. Those people don’t have to get vaccines. (Even Washington has a limit when it comes to irony, apparently. You don’t have to follow the rules while breaking the law.)

The invaders get free bus and plane rides right into the middle of our communities, in fact. In the old days, armies besieging castles used to put dead bodies in catapults and heave them over the castle walls in the hopes of killing off the enemy with disease. Today, Uncle Sam buys you a ticket on Amtrak and sets you up with food stamps. The effect is the same, but the methods are so much more civilized.

Second, the vaccine is proximately about control. The government has no legitimacy about not just abortions and human rights, but about anything.

If the government wanted you to live and not die, and if the government truly believed that vaccines were the way to do this, the government would mandate that everyone within the jurisdiction of the United States get as many vaccines as was thought necessary. But this is not happening and will not happen. The opposite is happening, in fact.

Also, let’s remember that this is the same government which celebrates abortion—the literal dismemberment of human beings—as a “human right”. If the Taliban lectured us on protecting human life they would have more legitimacy than Nancy Pelosi. “You all be safe now, you hear?” sounds nice when your grandmother says it. It sounds creepy when the person wishing you well is the Grim Reaper.

Second, the vaccine is proximately about control. The government has no legitimacy about not just abortions and human rights, but about anything. It is transparent that Washington is run by thoroughly corrupt elites, people who would have stunned ancient Roman senators into silence by the rot of their souls. A government with no legitimacy doesn’t bother persuading people to do things. It orders them to do things. When it needs cover for tyranny it carts out a sociopath in a lab coat (Mengele, Fauci, take your pick) to intone the party line. Anyone who doesn’t “follow the science” (flip through some old “scientific theories” from the Soviet era for an uncomfortable laugh) is carted off to jail or someplace worse.

So, the vaccine is not about the vaccine, it’s about making Americans do things they don’t want to do.

Think of it this way. The Native Americans are still in camps, waiting to understand the “science” of eugenics and Manifest Destiny. Maybe they’ll come around someday. Maybe not. But either way, they will be controlled.

So, the vaccine is not about the vaccine, it’s about making Americans do things they don’t want to do. Remember all those studies that used to come out about how seatbelts don’t really save lives? Just kidding, there are no studies like that. There are plenty of studies about how this “covid vaccine” is killing people. But we’re not allowed to read those anymore. Because, eyes against the wall, zek. Plebs don’t ask questions, they obey orders.

What is going on here, then? In a recent conversation with Peter Redpath (https://www.aquinasschoolofleadership.com), retired philosophy professor and expert in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, I had a moment of insight. Professor Redpath explained to me the following:

The population controllers are making the same sophistic argument that the WHO started to make in the 1970s to promote legalized abortion. At that time, they repeatedly claimed “elective abortion is ‘relatively’ safe healthwise when compared to the hazards of the alternatives.”

In doing this they applied the WHO definition of health as “a state of complete physical, psychological, and social (including economic) well being.”
(https://www.who.int/about/governance/constitution) They were, and still are, using Jeremy Bentham‘s moral principles and the WHO definition of health as measures of medical safety.

Professor Redpath also explained that “Alan Guttmacher [one of the most rabid proponents of infanticide in human history] was one of the world’s leading pro abortion ideologues who pushed for liberalized abortion in the 1960s and 1970s. The WHO was in bed with him.”

The vaccine illogic is just the latest in a very long line of weaponized mendacity. We are continuously presented with a sophist’s choice between one false thing and another false thing.

The definition of “health” is sophistic, in other words. St. Thomas, and Aristotle before him, wrote extensively on the meaning of “health” and did not equivocate on the term, as nearly everyone does today. But because “education” in public schools now focuses almost exclusively on feelings and the therapeutic ideologies needed to help us cope with those feelings, people have lost sight of true philosophy. The World Health Organization says that health is Benthamian, and we all nod and applaud. Such geniuses!

We fall for anything that sophists like the WHO “doctors” or Anthony “Mask Up Or Pay” Fauci, spinning fine-sounding phrases, say. “Abortion is healthcare” is not just a contradiction in terms. It is even worse than a lie. It is a product of, in my view, diabolical disorientation, an attack by the devil on our human ability to know who we are and how we work.

Professor Redpath has studied the “moral psychology” (https://www.amazon.com/Moral-Psychology-St-Thomas-Aquinas/dp/0998894036) of St. Thomas Aquinas in great detail. I highly recommend his books (https://enroutebooksandmedia.com/nsecmvol1/). Reading the Scholastics and the ancient philosophers and recovering an understanding of the meaning of words beneath the avalanche of fake philosophy—sophistry—since the time of Rene Descartes is crucial to living with dignity, like a human being loved into existence by God, in any age. It is especially urgent that we read Peter Redpath and the other real philosophers today, when sophistry is the lingua franca of virtually everyone on the planet.

Once we understand that the vaccines are about diabolical disorientation, so much of the rest of our shattered world also begins to make sense. It is not just the vaccines. The vaccine illogic is just the latest in a very long line of weaponized mendacity. We are continuously presented with a sophist’s choice between one false thing and another false thing. “Take the vaccine made of aborted children, or you are responsible for killing people who have already been vaccinated.” This is, quite literally, the choice our government gives us. It is all a lie. But not just any lie. The devil’s own logic. And that logic is how most of us now seem to decode the world.

Screw your vaccine, Biden. To hell with your mandate. You can keep your sick love for abortion, too.

Take gender ideology, for example. “Gender is fluid and has nothing to do with bodily sex, so you must lock your gender into your body by changing your bodily sex with hormones and gruesome operations.” People who do not understand that bodies come in two sexes both anatomically and cellularly are not just lying to themselves and others. They are under the spell, as all of us are to some extent, of diabolical disorientation.

The Novus Ordo is another very distressing instance of diabolical disorientation. The Second Vatican Council was riddled with Modernist infiltrators who were hell-bent on destroying the heritage of the Catholic Church, on deleting the Magisterium and substituting a flim-flam fog to keep the faithful from practicing the One True Faith. No genetic fallacy here—the Modernists did exactly what they said they would, they made a fool out of Rome.

But you don’t even need to be a Traditionalist to realize that something is off about Vatican II. “The hermeneutic is continuity,” everyone kept insisting. “The guitar-strumming nuns annoying the congregation during Holy Communion, the Luthero-atheist pope, the cardinals spouting heresy, the priests celebrating clown masses, the bishops locking the doors to their churches—this is all normal! Just like it always was! Nothing to see here!” I invite anyone, of any faith or none, to go to a Novus Ordo mass, and then to a Latin Mass. If you think they’re the same thing, that the word to describe them as a set is “continuity,” then please drop what you are doing and buy Peter Redpath’s books immediately. And while you are waiting, read Aristotle.

Our country and our world are spiraling out of control due to the original fake news, namely Lucifer’s fake news that God made a mistake by crowning Mary the Queen of Angels. This fake news broke the angel ranks in two. Our first parents succumbed to fake news—“This fruit is safe and will save lives, and has been thoroughly vetted by the authorities”—and we all died as a result. Fake news is not just a lie, but a sophist’s choice. You may have one or the other, but either way you are doomed.

Not true. The reality of human freedom overpowers any tyranny, no matter how satanic. Biden and his regime, cheering on abortion and aborted-fetus vaccines, are diabolical, of this there can be no doubt. But no matter how hateful the sophist’s choice now proffered us, no matter how many guns and prisons and lawyers and payroll-“journalists” the powerful have, we can always choose the good. We are always free to make the choice in favor of God. It has cost so many of our brothers and sisters their lives to make that choice. The hard road leads to Heaven, not the one lined with Burisma paychecks and Planned Parenthood cocktail hours. But the road is never closed. There is never a detour. It’s always the same Man hanging on the same Cross who marks the way. Viva Cristo Rey.

Screw your vaccine, Biden. To hell with your mandate. You can keep your sick love for abortion, too. Murder is not health. Evil is not good. Darkness is not light. No more sophist’s choice.

Your move, Joe.
