Biden’s Cut and Run

Biden’s Cut and Run

The recent Senate Armed Forces Committee hearings on the Biden’s administration’s Afghanistan cut and run was political theater at its most forsaken.  Claiming it an “extraordinary success” in unconditionally surrendering to a homicidal band of 8th century renegades made it such.  President Biden actually views the Taliban, who believe that 9-11 is the perfect age range for their bride, as a potential partner.

The Afghanistan debacle is the biggest American dishonor in decades that was made worse by the failure of accountability, starting with Biden who desperately wanted to be hailed for ending America’s longest war, but nothing else.

The hearings underscored Biden acted against the advice of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley who claimed at least 2,500 troops should remain in Afghanistan. That is not what Biden acknowledged.  After Kabul fell, Biden was asked if he was advised that some troops should remain in Afghanistan.  Biden replied, “No one said that to me that I can recall.”

Biden’s refusal to own his decision is shameful.  Provided Biden cannot recall such critical advice, he has no business taking up residency in the White House.

At least three generals, including Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, claimed they informed Biden that 2,500 to 3,000 troops would be needed to provide security and stability.  Instead, we have American citizens and thousands of allies left behind to face the wrath of the Taliban.  These generals should not be covering Biden’s lies to the American people.

As Biden’s senior military advisor, Milley failed to protest such a potential military and diplomatic failure. Rather, Milley and Austin oversaw and approved the Afghan cut and run strategy that proved to be a deadly fiasco. Provided both were honorable men, they would have resigned either in dissent or in shame.

They did neither.

Commanders at lower levels are routinely dismissed for performance significantly less detrimental.

The hearings were nothing but an unconcealed display of circle the wagons and don’t take any responsibility flanking movement. The only officer demanding accountability, Marine Lt. Col Stuart Scheller had spent time in the navy brig for speaking truth to power.  Scheller’s pre-trial confinement underscored what awaits anyone who dares to speak out.

Biden cannot be trusted to either tell the truth or comprehend what the truth is.

The Deep State is much deeper than Americans realize.

Our bureaucratic system of government has resulted in a plethora of self-interested leaders, devoid of leadership. Their only interests are in enriching and boosting their egos and wallets at the public’s expense – self-aggrandizement masquerading to the catchphrase of “national security.”  A black hole of bureaucracy has been created, sucking every aspect of government accountability into its dense and incomprehensive abyss.

Instead, we get is a collection of chair-borne generals who saw no problem in sending a decorated Marine Lt. Col. to the brig who clearly understands and publicly asked for accountability.

Political prisoners only happened in other countries, right?

Accountability starts at the top and that is where the cleanup needs to commence.

James Mattis resigned as secretary of defense when he disagreed with President Trump over Afghanistan and was cheered by Democrats for resisting withdrawal.

Those same Democrats that disparaged Trump defend Biden.

Biden cannot be trusted to either tell the truth or comprehend what the truth is.

This is only happening because we allow it.

Biden’s history with the truth is telling and a national embarrassment.  Biden dropped out of the 1988 Democrat presidential primaries after lying about plagiarism. Biden’s political ambitions are matched only by his political and moral malfeasance.  In the grips of cognitive decline, Biden can no longer keep his lies straight.  Afghanistan was a “extraordinary success,” the southern border is “under control,” the infrastructure bill will “cost nothing,” and the COVID contradictions are nonstop.

How pathetic is it that the majority of the nation’s fourth estate – the national media – including many Americans seem not to care.

Our nation has lost its will to demand a transparent and honest government.

A politicized Pentagon and intelligence community begets not just incompetence in military leaders but makes them self-destructive, and viewed among our allies as disloyal and unreliable damaging the nation and the cause of liberty.

Justice is not only blind, but deaf and dumb in these United States.

This is only happening because we allow it.
