St Peter's Basilica to go dark for Earth Hour
(Vatican Radio) St Peter’s Basilica will go dark for one hour Saturday evening, joining once again the international "Earth Hour" effort to raise awareness about climate change.

The annual initiative, which began in 2007, invites cities around the world to turn off the lights on their national monuments and public buildings, as well as in offices, shops and homes, to help raise awareness about the need to adopt more environmentally sound practices. REMNANT COMMENT: The irony here, of course, is that our beloved St. Peter's has been enshrouded in darkness for some fifty years or more. By this stupid, politically correct stunt—designed to curry favor with a world drowning in the blood of aborted babies and choking on the moral refuse of pornographic filth and the fragments of the Christian family it has blown to smithereens—the Vatican proudly hoisted the white flag even higher and announced anew the Catholic Church's pathetic surrender to the modern world.

Further irony, of course, can be seen in the fact that nobody cares.  This took place last Saturday and I'd wager this is the first you've heard of it. Why? Because nobody truly cares about a Catholic Church that is ceasing to be Catholic. Oh, sure, they pretend to care. The world hails that surrender as a magnificent victory for enlightened peoples everywhere. “Hosanna to the modern Catholic Church,” they will sing, palm branches in hand, just before they burn the Catholic churches to the ground and attempt to crucify the Mystical Body of Christ all over the world.

All glory and honor to Greg Burke and the rest of the clueless image makers responsible for the "new and improved" Church of Pope Francis.
You're extinguishing the Lumen Christi not only at St. Peter's but throughout the whole modern world. Well played, boys!
