Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

ROME, May 9, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) -- Over 100 pro-life and pro-family leaders from all over the world leapt to their feet in applause at a meeting in Rome on Saturday after hearing a call for Pope Francis to withdraw his controversial exhortation Amoris Laetitia.

John Smeaton, co-founder of Voice of the Family and the CEO of the UK Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, issued the request to the Pope in his keynote address at the annual Rome Life Forum.

Smeaton spoke following Bishop Athanasius Schneider, who in his speech decried growing confusion in the Church, and who has previously expressed grave concerns about the exhortation. FULL ARTICLE HERE

REMANNT COMMENT: Pope Francis is either intentionally attempting to undermine the Church's infallible teachings on faith or morals, or he is inadvertently doing so. We see no other option. He's either a very bad man, or an utterly incompetent pope. Take your pick.

forteJorge & Bruno

Archbishop Bruno Forte, Pope Bergoglio’s handpicked Special Secretary for both sessions of the Phony Synod, is a supremely arrogant man. For only supreme arrogance could explain his reported insertion into the midterm report of Phony Synod 2014 (with Francis’s full approval) those infamous statements about “valuing” the “homosexual orientation” and recognizing that “homosexual unions” can provide “precious support in the life of the partners” as they habitually engage in sodomy.

Pope's Forte: Spilling the Beans Featured

Written by

a pope vid
The irony here is rich. The Modernist heroes of Pope Francis crushed the old Catholic model of motherhood, toppled the thrones on which powerful women ruled over Christendom, declared war on true feminity, even forced wives and mothers to dress like their husbands and fathers.

They exiled the mothers from their own homes, sexualized the daughters, made fops of the men, emasculated the priesthood, homosexulized the Mass. And now that everything is destroyed, here they come on their white horses. Did you ever think you’d live to see the day when popes would become champions of Steinem, Fonda and Friedan?

This from the YouTube channel of our friend and ally, Michael Sestak: "On our recent return from a family vacation in Gatlinburg, I began listening in the car to Michael Matt's latest video,
I was moved by his words and immediately told my wife that I wanted to make a condensed version of it in order to help the message reach a wider audience.

"As I was uploading the finished video after midnight, my wife called my attention to the calendar hanging in the kitchen.  "It's May 2nd.  Look at the feast day," she said.

"I could not believe it.  'It's the feast of St. Athanasius!'  Coincidence?  Maybe.  Regardless, I hope you enjoy the video.  And please share with your friends and family!"

REMNANT COMMENT: Many thanks, Mr. Sestak. Long live the memory of the great man-- Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. May we never forget...

Tartuffe pik1
Despite its weakness and the qualifications that accompanied it, the criticism by Raymond Arroyo on the

was a turning point in the relationship between Pope Francis and American neo-Catholics. It is now inescapably clear that a lot of neo-Catholics are on to Pope Francis. And although, like the members of the Bush family, Pope Francis likes to play stupid, he is not. He is very, very smart. So the question arises: Who is Pope Francis and what is he up to?

There are two possibilities. The first is that Pope Francis is an agent of the Judeo-Masonic-Communist-Reptilian conspiracy, and he is craftily advancing the agenda of globalist occultists who worship 30ft owls at resorts in California and hold secret meetings at hotels shaped like spaceship pyramids in the Austrian Alps. Certainly, this is a possibility that cannot be ruled out. Pope Francis does have friends in high places, and he does say a lot of things that UNESCO and Bill Gates say. However, I would like to suggest another possibility: like the classic figure of French drama, Tartuffe, Pope Francis actually believes the stuff he says, writes, and does.

This just in from Newsweek.com: “The Edge, lead guitarist with the Irish band U2, has become the first rock star to play in the Sistine Chapel, a venue he described as ‘the most beautiful parish hall in the world.’

“The performer, whose real name is David Evans, sang four songs on Saturday night for about 200 doctors, researchers and philanthropists who attended a conference at the Vatican on regenerative medicine called Cellular Horizons.

“Backed by a choir of seven Irish teenagers, and wearing his trademark black beanie cap, he played acoustic guitar and sang a cover of Leonard Cohen's ‘If It be Your Will’, and versions of U2 songs ‘Yahweh’, ‘Ordinary Love’ and ‘Walk On.’

“He joked with his audience, telling them he was stunned when asked to play in the chapel, which was painted by Renaissance master Michelangelo in the 16th century. He then thanked Pope Francis and other Vatican officials ‘for allowing us to use the most beautiful parish hall in the world’.

The Edge dedicated his performance of ‘Walk On,’ written in 2000 for Myanmar democracy advocate Aung San Suu Kyi when she was under house arrest, to Pope Francis, who he described as "the people's pope. ‘He's doing an amazing job and long may he continue,’ he added.” READ MORE HERE

REMNANT COMMENT: And of course, this was the same event at which pro-abort ‘Catholic’ VP Joe Biden was also on hand. Old Uncle Joe didn’t sing for anyone but did deliver a talk at the same conference, just before managing to land a private meeting with Pope Francis.

Bit of irony here, of course, that since 1492 the Sistine Chapel was the sacred place where the College of Cardinals gathered to elect a new pope—the rock of St. Peter. History will now record that under the reign of Francis the Great, that same chapel—famous for its fresco of the Second Coming of Christ and images of the damned being sent to hell and tortured by demons—became a venue for rock stars (...seems strangely fitting somehow).

Anyway, remember the bit about Arian heretics back in the fourth century taking over the Catholic buildings while a small remnant kept the old Faith? Well, is it just me or does it seem that Pope Francis the Great is bound and determined to demonstrate that the same thing is happening today.  Every time I turn around there seems to be another pro-abort, liberal, population-control whacko being paraded through the halls of the most important buildings of old Christendom. It's almost as if Francis the Great is saying: "I will do whatever I please with your buildings!"

So where's our St. Athanasius?

In December of 2015, Father Celatus—a diocesan priest—penned an article for The Remnant in which he promised to boycott the Year of Mercy. At the time, Father wrote: "The Last Word is boycotting the Year of Mercy, much as we have boycotted the Luminous Mysteries and other V2 novelties. I urge all pastors and the faithful as well to be very wary of this Jubilee Year Trojan Horse.

“If Francis of Rome wants a Year of Mercy then he should act in obedience to the Blessed Mother and consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. That single act would usher in an entire era of divine mercy and peace for the Church and world. But short of that long overdue act of consecration we should not expect mercy but rather an ever intensifying application of divine wrath upon the V2 church and world. Regrettably, there is little hope for divine clemency under the pontificate of Francis, who continually proves to be an unprecedented chastisement and scourge upon the Church and world.” READ FATHER’S ARTICLE HERE

20131022 offering2 53"Yeah, right!"

One of the principal responsibilities of parish pastors is to protect the faithful from ravaging wolves. But wolves are not always readily recognized for what they really are. Remember the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood? “Grandmother, what big arms you have!” “All the better to hug you with.” Grandmother, what big ears you have!” “All the better to hear you with.” Grandmother, what big teeth you have!” “All the better to eat you with.” And the wicked wolf pounced upon Little Red Riding Hood and ate her all up.

Wolves in disguise are found not only in fairy tales and on Wall Street but within the hierarchy of the Church. Perhaps you are thinking that this Last Word concerns the Wolf of Rome but for now our focus is on wolves closer to home: The U.S. episcopal wolves who fleece the flock with a plethora of collections.

The Catholic Services Appeal and Similar Frauds Featured

This just in from NCR: "Vice President Joe Biden arrives in Rome on Thursday to attend a conference on breakthroughs in regenerative medicine, part-hosted by the Pontifical Council for Culture.

"Biden will deliver a talk the following day about the Obama administration's "Moonshot" initiative which aims to make therapies available to more patients and accelerate cancer research by improving cancer prevention and detecting it at an early stage..." READ STORY HERE

REMNANT COMMENT:  The Vice President will meet Pope Francis after the conference, by the way.  Now, I know--this is just a lot of silly liberal spin. Biden probably made the whole thing up, in fact. Or maybe it's the drive-by media up to their old tricks again. I don't know.  One thing's certain--Pope Francis will have had nothing to do with that scheduled private meeting with pro-abort apostate Joe Biden. That meeting will have been a chance encounter that couldn't possibly have been avoided.

This is all about one thing--cancer research and saving kids, and Biden's talk at the Vatican is essential to the success of the conference. Anyone who reads more into it is just a pope-bashing hater of Francis the Great.

Got it? Good. Now have a nice day.

Luther posting 95 theses 560x366
I have been wondering why the Kasper/Amoris Laetitia Proposal has prompted such a deep feeling of loathing and disgust. This response has for me been at a gut level, and I have been trying to understand it. Today I think I figured it out.

Many years ago, when I was studying the Faith, I came to an extraordinary realization that changed the direction of my life forever. I had already started taking seriously the moral law, but immediately began to see the admonition of Christ to “be perfect as my Father in heaven is perfect” (Mt. 5:48) as a calamity. If Jesus requires such absolute perfection from me, my chances of heavenly beatitude were slim indeed! I came close to despairing and nearly gave the whole thing up.
