Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

This week on LifeSiteNews: "The only reason the Catholic Church is growing in Africa is because the people have a “rather low level” of education and accept “simple answers to difficult questions” involving marriage and sexuality, posited an article on the official website of the German Bishops' Conference posted yesterday. The article targeted particularly Cardinal Robert Sarah of Guinea, the Vatican's prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and ardent defender of Catholic tradition.First Things blogger Leroy Huizenga, who translated a portion of the article, criticized the article's view as “soft racism.”

"In his article, titled “The Romantic, Poor Church,” Katholisch.de editor Björn Odendahl writes:

So also in Africa. Of course the Church is growing there. It grows because the people are socially dependent and often have nothing else but their faith. It grows because the educational situation there is on average at a rather low level and the people accept simple answers to difficult questions (of faith) [sic]. Answers like those that Cardinal Sarah of Guinea provides. And even the growing number of priests is a result not only of missionary power but also a result of the fact that the priesthood is one of the few possibilities for social security on the dark continent.

"Huizenga said that such an article has no place on a bishops’ conference website." READ MORE HERE

REMNANT COMMENT See what Francis hath wrought!  There is something particularly loathsome about racism, and when it comes from German Catholic hierarchy it reeks of rotten NAZI ideologues.  All indications point to the cooperation and input by Pope Francis in his promotion and statements concerning the Kasperian Ostpolitik incorporated into the contraversial Synod on the Family.

Unless and until Pope Francis corrects the direction of the Rhine, the Church will drown in its wake. I pity those who for whatever reasons are still locked into the belief that Pope Francis is chiefly concerned with pleasing God.  On the contrary, he seems to be amused by the contradiction of what Jesus said and did vs. what the humble Pope's 'new Church' wants to say and do.

Many social commentators have noticed the rise and staying power of zombie lore in our current storytelling. Zombies became all the rage, pardon the pun, many years ago and their popularity shows no sign of waning. We may be getting sick of superheroes, but zombies are ever fresh.

Those social commentators suspect that there is something about zombie lore that speaks to us in the modern era, that somehow amidst our comfort and prosperity, we have never been more fragile. They posit that somehow our golden lives, compared to every generation that came before, are more fragile, that something isn’t right and we know it. That the life we lead, like the zombies, gives the appearance of life, but is truly dead.

I think there might be something to this analysis (although not in the way they likely mean it.) Of all the zombie storytelling that has occurred these past decades, there is one zombie movie that stands out in my mind as social commentary, directly tapping into the vein. That one story that stands out above all the others, which should almost go without saying, is the slacker cinema classic “Shaun of the Dead.”

Zombieland: Convert or Die!

By:
This just in from the AP: NAIROBI, Kenya  -- Pope Francis warned Thursday that it would be "catastrophic" for world leaders to let special interest groups get in the way of a global agreement to curb fossil fuel emissions as he brought his environmental message to the heart of Africa on the eve of make-or-break climate change talks in Paris.Francis issued the pointed warning in a speech to the U.N.'s regional office here after celebrating his first public Mass on the continent: A joyous, rain-soaked ceremony before 300,000 faithful that saw the Argentine pope being serenaded by ululating Swahili singers, swaying nuns, Maasai tribesmen and dancing children dressed in the colors of Kenya's flag.

Francis has made ecological concerns a hallmark of his nearly 3-year-old papacy...blah, blah, blah.  Read More Here

REMNANT COMMENT: Really?!  With ISIS conducting regular target practice on Europeans; tens of thousands of homeless refugees abandoning Syria; Christians being beheaded on the nightly news; Christianity disappearing completely from the Middle East; millions of babies aborted by their mothers every year; Chicago, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Ferguson working to enshrine anarchy in their streets; cultural Satanists feasting on the souls of our kids in pop culture; a massive crisis in the Catholic priesthood--- it's  the climate that keeps him pacing the floors of  the Domus Sanctae Marthae at night?

Honestly, what is wrong with this man? We must pray for him, for he seems to have lost any sense of real-time understanding of his responsibilities--not as life coach or social engineer or climatologist--BUT AS VICAR OF CHRIST and SUCCESSOR OF ST. PETER.

It's almost as if the man is suffering from dementia. Perhaps he is. Pray for him.

In the meantime, God help us, our children and the whole world if Peter doesn't wake up soon...or step down.

thanksgiving
Are you preparing to eat the turkey, the dressing, the mashed potatoes, and cranberries? Put them aside and hunker down for a new twist on the Thanksgiving holiday.

“The American Indians, European immigrants, Spaniards, and other cultures around the world, according to National Geographic, often celebrated the harvest season with feasts to offer thanks to higher powers/God for their sustenance and survival.”

The Christian Science Monitor further states “the trouble is, almost everything we’ve been taught about Thanksgiving in 1621 is a myth. The holiday has two distinct histories – actual one and the romanticized one.

Sunday Sermons from South St. Paul: Pope Francis and the Leaven of Evil

Father points out that France is no longer the 'eldest daughter of the Church' but rather the 'youngest daughter of Mohammed', and that the reason for this is the false leaven of the new Church, i.e., Pope Francis's leaven of dialogue, leaven of ecumenism, leaven of evil.

Plus, guess which Christian denomination, according to a recent Pew Research Center study, is most favorable to homosexual behavior.

Pope Francis: The Classic Modernist

Are you a gnostic? A Pelagian? Pope Francis evidently thinks so. The Pope's recent address in Florence is dissected in this episode of the Mike n' Chris Show, and found to be not only hopelessly wanting, but downright terrifying. What is Francis's vision for the Church of the future? One that is "bruised, hurting and dirty." God save us what is this man's problem!

New From Remnant TV... Featured

By:
The Vatican chief of the sacraments Cardinal Robert Sarah has spoken out against the profanation of the Holy Eucharist being proposed by some of the ruling fathers in the Vatican. His action comes on the heels of Pope Francis' recent suggestion that non-Catholics can receive Communion if they decide this is what they want to do. The pope told the congregation at the Lutheran Evangelical Church of Rome last Sunday that the question of whether or not a non-Catholic can receive Communion in the Catholic Church is one that "must be responded to on one’s own."

Cardinal Sarah, who is prefect for the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, sharply disagrees, pointing out that there are divine laws forbidding the administration of Communion to non-Catholics or to baptized members living in mortal sin (i.e. adultery), so that should such a person petition the Catholic Church to receive Communion, the clergy "have no right to give him Communion."

Sarah also gives this warning concerning priests who would dare to administer Communion to non-Catholics: "If they do so, their sin will be more grave before the Lord. It would be unequivocally a premeditated complicity and profanation of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus."

The prefect reminds us that not even the pope can change divine law on Communion. "The entire Church has always firmly held that one may not receive communion with the knowledge of being in a state of mortal sin, a principle recalled as definitive by John Paul II in his 2003 encyclical ‘Ecclesia de Eucharistia,'" he said. "Not even a pope can dispense from such a divine law."

Cardinal Sarah's words are most faithful and true. There is actually no doctrinal teaching that the pope can change. He can enact slight disciplinary changes, provided they keep firmly with tradition and do not slight doctrine, but to change a divine law or teaching is not something the pope or any bishop is authorized to do. Their authorization is to keep the law and pass it on to the people, just as Moses did at Mt. Sinai.

Sarah laments this is not being done. "I feel wounded in my heart as a bishop in witnessing such incomprehension of the Church’s definitive teaching on the part of my brother priests," he said. "I cannot allow myself to imagine as the cause of such confusion anything but the insufficiency of the formation of my confreres."

Not to mention, too, that Satan is reigning and ruling today in the Eternal City. The Blessed Virgin at Fatima warned how the enemy would infiltrate the Vatican hierarchy and bring about that time when it would be "bishop against bishop, cardinal against cardinal." Those days are now upon us, largely because the Fatima Third Secret was not released in 1960 as Our Lady requested be done. She was attempting to avert this disaster to the Church.

Now the members of Christ have to tough it out. The faithful have no recourse but to continue their fight for the truth, most especially by imitating Cardinal Sarah's example to be defenders of the Faith.

Cardinal Sarah's statements are taken from a forthcoming article to be published in the French Catholic magazine L’Homme Nouveau. Vatican insider Sandro Magister has published an excerpt in advance, for which we're indebted. For the complete story please go to the following link. valls

Prime Minister Manuel Valls

Here are a couple of snippets from an article at Aleteia.org written by John Burger back in April of 2015. Not sure how we managed to miss this one, unless the politically incorrect nature of the French Prime Minister’s comment caused certain mainstream news agencies to bury the story. Stranger things have happened. Check it out:

“[I]n the wake of a thwarted terrorist attack on churches in France this past weekend, Prime Minister Manuel Valls was clear: attending Mass is “the most beautiful and strongest" answer to terrorism.

Valls spoke to reporters while standing next to Bishop Michel Santier of Creteil, the diocese south of Paris where one or more churches were allegedly in the crosshairs of a 24-year-old Algerian national. The plot, foiled when the student accidentally shot himself and called for an ambulance, was, according to Valls, the fifth terrorist attack authorities thwarted since the Charlie Hebdo attack in January.

"What could have happened is a shock to everyone,” Valls said, adding that he wanted to meet with Church officials to express “our deep emotion and our total solidarity…. This time, it was the Christians, the Catholics of France, who were targeted for the first time. Two churches were in the viewfinder of the individual.”

Valls said that “specific protection” is being provided to 178 Catholic places of worship.

To attack a church is to attack “a symbol of France," the premier said… "The faithful of the Catholic religion,” he continued, “must be able to worship, go to Mass in perfect serenity. Moreover, it is the most beautiful and strongest of the answers we need to terrorism, which targets France to divide…. France has a great Christian heritage. Cathedrals, churches, chapels, attract tourists, pilgrims, thousands of the faithful around the world. This heritage must be protected, but must remain open, accessible.” FULL REPORT HERE

REMNANT COMMENT: One wonders if Valls is coming to realize that his boss’s (President Hollande) draconian pro-Muslim “anti-hate” campaign isn’t working out too well.

In any case, though this statement isn’t particularly strong by our standards, by secularist French standards it’s the Edict of Milan. One hopes that after the most recent terrorist attacks in Paris, this seemingly insignificant nod to France's Catholic roots may grow into the beginnings of at least a faint awakening in France, that if France does not remember the promises of her baptism—if she does not recognize the satanic nature of her 1905 law on the Separation of Church and State--she will be destroyed from within and may one day cease to exist altogether.

Sainte Jeanne d'Arc s'il vous plaît prier pour la France catholique

A statement by Father Christian BOUCHACOURT, District Superior of France of the SSPX

Terrorist acts of great gravity have been inflicted upon our country. Hundreds of people were killed, injured or traumatized, and we pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in this tragedy, and we pledge our prayers for their families and loved ones in mourning, and for the injured victims, that they may regain their health quickly.

With a storyline lifted straight from tomorrow’s headlines, The Mosque of Notre Dame is more than a novel: It’s a predication, a prophecy, and a promise of wicked things to come—if what’s left of the Christian West doesn’t wake up!

"The Mosque of Notre Dame is an analysis of Islam that is indispensable for anyone who wants to understand the threat the West is facing." ... Thomas Fleming, editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture

"This page-turner is a warning to the West…a warning to America, especially. Time is running out."...Michael J. Matt, Editor, The Remnant
