Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

In his February 25, 2019 address on the fiftieth anniversary of Cardinal Augustin Bea’s death, Francis praised Bea’s ability to foster unity among all people as well as his immense influence at Vatican II:

“[The Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies], in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Center for the Study of Christianity in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is commemorating Cardinal Augustin Bea by a series of scholarly lectures marking the fiftieth anniversary of his death. You thus have an opportunity to reconsider this outstanding figure and his decisive influence on several important documents of the Second Vatican Council. The issues of the Church’s relationship with Judaism, Christian unity, and freedom of conscience and religion, remain significant and extremely timely.”

In this Remnant Underground, Michael Matt connects the dots on the agenda behind the Synod on Synodality.

Wonder why the push for homosexual and divorced/re-married couples to receive Church blessings and Holy Communion?

Here’s why.

We shot this last year, and it picked up a half million views. But I honestly think it's more relevant now than then. If you want to know what the Synod is all about, please watch and share:

Here is the long-awaited mystery guest of the 2023 Catholic Identity Conference: His Excellency, Bishop Joseph Strickland. This was the best night in CIC history, and you'll see why!

From Michael Matt's introduction to the prayer and blessing which closed it and the longest standing ovation you've ever heard, this was an evening of inspiration and confirmation in the Faith.

God bless Bishop Strickland, who is standing faithfully by the foot of the Cross as the Church undergoes Her passion. A solitary figure we all look to for strength, not unlike those who stood by the Cross of Christ that first Good Friday, and who must have been so edified to see at least one Apostle -- St. John (one of the first bishops) -- had not abandoned his Lord.

Please watch and share His Excellency's talk. Let him show you what it looks like when a bishop simply does his job and defends the Deposit of Faith from the wolves who seek to devour it.

Watch the full conference online through January 2024:

In this Catholic Identity Conference 2023 interview, Michael Matt asks Bishop Schneider several pointed questions about the Church of Abandonment, i.e., why the Vatican is lying to the LGBTQ community, how Team Francis doesn't give a hang about scandalizing kids, why the Vatican is partnering with Globalist goofballs such as Klaus Schwab, and why would anyone stay in a Church that has been so thoroughly infiltrated by the enemies of God.

Watch every talk at this event: https://videos.catholicidentityconference.org/

Cardinals Walter Brandmueller of Germany, a former Vatican historian; Raymond Burke of the United States, whom Francis axed as head of the Vatican supreme court; Juan Sandoval of Mexico, the retired archbishop of Guadalajara, Robert Sarah of Guinea, the retired head of the Vatican’s liturgy office, and Joseph Zen, the retired archbishop of Hong Kong—these five Cardinals have issued a new dubia ahead of the Vatican’s synodal discussions this month, challenging the Pope to reaffirm Church teaching on homosexuality and female ordination. They have also released an open letter to Catholic faithful outlining their concerns.

Below is the letter, followed by the full text of the dubia:

During the runup to the Catholic Identity Conference 2023, I asked His Excellency, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, to compose a prayer for God's intervention at the Synod on Synodality taking place in Rome this month. The intention is to read this prayer for the first time at the CIC, but then to ask all Catholics throughout the world to pray this prayer every day during the Synod. His Excellency graciously agreed to do so, with the provision that he would be making the prayer available immediately online. This prayer will remain posted on the Remnant's homepage for the duration of the Synod. - MJM

There are Dragons.
Saint Augustine’s Interpretation of the Bible and the Traps of Evolutionistic Historiography

“But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.” (Matthew 5:37)

Almost two years ago, Francis opened his Synod on Synodality by telling the world that he intended to “create a different church”:

“The Holy Spirit guides us where God wants us to be, not to where our own ideas and personal tastes would lead us.  Father Congar, of blessed memory, once said: ‘There is no need to create another Church, but to create a different Church’ (True and False Reform in the Church).  That is the challenge.  For a ‘different Church,’ a Church open to the newness that God wants to suggest, let us with greater fervour and frequency invoke the Holy Spirit and humbly listen to him, journeying together as he, the source of communion and mission, desires: with docility and courage.”
