RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome
Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.
Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death. At the time Crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet.
Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breathe. Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross.

Last week I posted a personal story on The Remnant’s site entitled “Lindsey’s Gift of Life.”Therein I shared the touching account of one heroic wife and mother, Lindsey Bourbeau, who though only recently starting out in her own married life, put everything on hold in order an undergo a major surgery to remove half of her liver and donate it to her husband’s dying aunt—my sister, Gretchen (Matt) Mills.
“In a world filled with ugly selfishness and proud conceit,” I wrote, “I’m conflicted by, on the one hand, the beauty of what is going on here, and on the other, a sense of deep concern for the lives and health of these two strong Catholic women… Until recently, Gretchen, though quite literally wasting away, was considered by her doctors not quite sick enough (she now suffers from advanced cirrhosis) to be a candidate for liver transplant, unless she could find a live donor. Her situation recently became quite critical, and that’s when Lindsey stepped in.”
Radio Poland is reporting that President Andrzej Duda has said that the issue of marriage is “clearly and expressly regulated in the Constitution”.
Speaking to the TV Republika broadcaster, Duda was asked whether it is likely that “international organisations, various lobby groups, but also some European countries” could force Poland to accept gay marriage.
“I do not think that the political majority today would agree to any amendment to the Constitution in this area, water down this clause and open interpretation that marriage could also include other genders,” Duda said.
“I unequivocally repeat: marriage in accordance with the Polish Constitution is a union between a man and a woman,” Duda added.
Poland’s constitution is one of seven in the EU to ban gay marriage, and the country is one of six in the 28-member bloc not to allow same-sex civil unions.
The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party in Poland came to power in late 2015 on a ticket of promoting traditional Polish values, family and Catholic traditions.
Remnant Comment: The Christophobic fascists running the European Union are, at this point, nearly unstoppable in their agenda to institutionalize by force if necessary every manner of legislation and policy that is contrary to God's law, the Holy Bible and the Christian moral foundations of Catholic Europe. Can these demons be held at bay at the Polish border? Alas, I think not. On the other hand, there is hope if, culturally speaking, New World Order ideology—propagated so enthusiastically by the world-wide sewer system of MTV and Hollywood—can be gradually undermined by this sort of thing, who knows:
If the threat of Sharia law can finally awaken Catholic Europe to the horrific reality of what Christian apostasy actually leads to, then bring it on. The Crescent can never crush the Cross, so long as there's a Cross left to crush. If Christians abandon the Cross, Europe is lost forever and Islam will do what Islam does best—fill the void.
Thank you, Isis—you pajama-wearing maniacs—for helping to accomplish what we few Christians who have kept the Faith have thus far failed to do—wake the Catholic peoples of Europe to the suicidal consequences of their apostasy, and thus to help them realize that their only hope is in re-crowning Christ the King. In any case, nothing is worse than a ruthlessly Christophobic and soul-crushing secularism—even you.

Also why do Protestant and even many Catholics in the Novus Ordo remove Christ from the Cross?

As I write these few lines, two members of my family are lying on operating tables at the University of Minnesota hospital. One is my older sister, Gretchen (Matt) Mills, and the other is Lindsey (Heesch) Bourbeau, the young wife of another sister’s second son, Stephen. Gretchen is a very sick person, and has been for many years. She’s been in surgery now for 10 hours. Lindsey is the healthy mother of an adopted young son, Jacob (one year old).

April 6, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – According to a Maltese news outlet, Pope Francis thanked the Catholic bishops of Malta for their interpretation of Amoris Laetitia, which says active adulterers may receive Holy Communion if they feel "at peace with God." ...
The Malta bishops' guidelines opened the door to Communion for Catholics in adulterous unions, saying it might be "humanly impossible" to follow Church teaching and live chastely while civilly remarried. The guidelines also suggest that a couple in an invalid union might "give rise to greater harm" by not committing adultery.
The Catholic Church teaches that marriage is permanent and lifelong, making "remarriage" an impossibility unless the previous union is declared "null." The Catholic Church also teaches that the Eucharist is the literal body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ, so only Catholics in a "state of grace" may receive it. Catholics are supposed to go to Confession before receiving Holy Communion if they have committed serious (mortal) sin. Those who are divorced and civilly remarried must live as "brother and sister" in order to receive the Sacraments. Read more HERE

Funeral and Wake: The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 3-9 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2600 Sheridan Drive (at Parker Blvd) where the Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM. A Solemn High Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church, 199 Clark Street, Buffalo, at 9:30 AM.

In your charity, please remember the repose of the soul of our brother and champion defender of Christ’s Church, John Vennari, who passed away earlier today.
Quite frankly, I have no words to adequately express the magnitude of this loss, both for the traditional Catholic movement and for us personally here at The Remnant. John was our ally, our friend and our brother in arms. The thought of fighting in these trenches without him at our side is still just too unthinkable. And the Church has lost a most faithful watchman with this passing of the editor of the incomparable Catholic Family News.
Please pray for John, now and throughout the rest of Passiontide. I don’t believe it to be a mere coincidence that this loyal soldier of Christ underwent his passion during the very days when the Church remembers the passion of the One John served so faithfully.
