ROME, May 19, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Cardinal Raymond Burke issued a call this morning for the Catholic faithful to “work for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
Cardinal Burke, who is one of the four Cardinals who have asked Pope Francis for a clarification of Amoris Laetitia, made his appeal at the Rome Life Forum, in the month of the centenary of Our Lady of Fatima’s first apparition to the three shepherd children.
Burke is the former prefect of the Apostolic Signatura and current Patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
In a comprehensive address on “The Secret of Fatima and a New Evangelization,” Cardinal Burke, in the presence of fellow dubia Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, outspoken Kazakhstan Bishop Athanasius Schneider and over 100 life and family leaders from 20 nations, said that the triumph of the Immaculate Heart would mean much more than the ending of world wars, and the physical calamities that Our Lady of Fatima predicted.
“As horrible as are the physical chastisements associated with man’s disobedient rebellion before God, infinitely more horrible are the spiritual chastisements for they have to do with the fruit of grievous sin: eternal death,” he said.
He expressed agreement with one of the foremost Fatima scholars, Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité, who said that the promised triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary undoubtedly refers firstly to “the victory of the Faith, which will put an end to the time of apostasy, and the great shortcomings of the Church’s pastors.”
Turning to the current situation in the Church in light of Our Lady of Fatima’s revelations, Burke said:
The teaching of the Faith in its integrity and with courage is the heart of the office of the Church’s pastors: the Roman Pontiff, the Bishops in communion with the See of Peter, and their principal co-workers, the priests. For that reason, the Third Secret is directed, with particular force, to those who exercise the pastoral office in the Church. Their failure to teach the faith, in fidelity to the Church’s constant teaching and practice, whether through a superficial, confused or even worldly approach, and their silence endangers mortally, in the deepest spiritual sense, the very souls for whom they have been consecrated to care spiritually. The poisonous fruits of the failure of the Church’s pastors is seen in a manner of worship, of teaching and of moral discipline which is not in accord with Divine Law.
The call for the consecration of Russia is for some controversial, but Cardinal Burke addressed the reasons for his appeal simply and straightforwardly. “The requested consecration is at once a recognition of the importance which Russia continues to have in God’s plan for peace and a sign of profound love for our brothers and sisters in Russia,” he said.“
"In fact, the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary did not take place, as she requested," he added.
“Certainly, Pope Saint John Paul II consecrated the world, including Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25, 1984,” said Cardinal Burke. “But, today, once again, we hear the call of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, in accord with her explicit instruction.” READ MORE HERE

This just in from LifeSiteNews: -- St. John Paul II’s 1976 prophetic warning about the rise of an “anti-Church” that would preach an “anti-Gospel” is being fulfilled today by leaders within the Catholic Church, even at the highest levels, said a priest in a talk given at a Catholic conference today in Rome. Fr. Linus Clovis of Family Life International said in his talk at the Rome Life Forum, organized by Voice of the Family, that the anti-Gospel of the anti-Church is often “indistinguishable from secular ideology, which has overturned both the natural law and the Ten Commandments.”
“This anti-Gospel, which seeks to elevate the individual’s will to consume, to pleasure and to power over the will of God, was rejected by Christ when tempted in the wilderness. Disguised as ‘human rights,’ it has reappeared, in all its luciferian hubris, to promulgate a narcissistic, hedonistic attitude that rejects any constraint except that imposed by man-made laws,” he said. REMNANT COMMENT: God bless and keep Father Clovis! This is one of the most revealing, explicit and truthful speeches given in the Eternal City in the post-conciliar era. He ties in Fatima, Amoris Laetitia and then courageously explains the role of Pope Francis in the rise of the Anti-Church. Here, for example, is Fathers' take on AL:
“As a Trojan horse, Amoris Laetitia spells spiritual ruin for the entire Church. As a gauntlet thrown down it calls for courage in overcoming fear. In either case, it is now poised to separate the anti-Church of which St. John Paul II spoke from the Church that Christ founded. As the separation begins to take place, each one of us, like the angels, will have to decide for himself whether he would rather be wrong with Lucifer than right without him."

This just in from our friends at the Society of St. Pius X:
On April 4, 2017, the General House published a press release to express “its deep gratitude to the Holy Father for his pastoral solicitude, as expressed in the letter from the Ecclesia Dei Commission, for the purpose of alleviating ‘any uncertainty regarding the validity of the sacrament of marriage.'” This communiqué recalled the Society’s intention to continue in the same spirit what it has always done, namely “to prepare future spouses for marriage according to the unchangeable doctrine of Christ about the unity and indissolubility of this union (cf. Mt 19:6), before receiving the parties’ consent in the traditional rite of Holy Church.”
In an “authorized commentary”, the official website of the Society of Saint Pius X (fsspx.news) clearly recalled the Society’s positions concerning marriages, particularly their validity, even without official delegation: “However, just as the sacrament of penance was not invalidly conferred by the priests of the Society of St. Pius X before 2015, neither were the marriages celebrated without the official delegation of the local bishop or parish pastor.” This commentary was based on what Canon Law provides in such cases.
From the beginning, the authorities of the Society have unceasingly protested to the Roman authorities against the unjust, scandalous declarations of nullity pronounced almost automatically by ecclesiastical tribunals just because canonical form was not observed. By this gesture of the Supreme Pontiff, an important change is effected: from now on the official clergy will be obliged to recognize the ability of the priests of the Society of Saint Pius X to be authorized witnesses of the Church, and marriages can no longer be declared null without a canonical process in the correct and due form.
Bishop Bernard Fellay, the Superior General, also informed the superiors and the other members of the Society that guidelines would be established for the prudent application of these new provisions.
Unfortunately, some priests from the District of France did not wait for the publication of these guidelines, and on Sunday, May 7, 2017, they imprudently read from the pulpit and published a letter addressed to the faithful, without the District Superior’s knowledge, calling into question the direction of the Society.
The District Superior, Father Christian Bouchacourt, has relieved these signatories from their function as deans. He condemns this subversive act, prepared in secret, aimed to destabilize superiors and taking the faithful hostage. READ ARTICLE HERE
REMNANT COMMENT: Perhaps this Remnant translation of the letter in question will help our readers to better understand the essence of a controversy that seems to us to involve valid arguments and concerns on both sides of the dispute. If the SSPX leadership recognizes herein an opportunity to prevent their marriages from being annulled--practically automatically--by the Vatican, then perhaps they are quite right to find some way to take advantage of this provision in such a way as to assist their faithful achieve peace of mind and soul when it comes to the question of marraige, while at the same time insisting on the state of necessity and the consequent right to the extraordinary form of marriage and the other sacraments. In any case, we present both sides of this important development in an effort to help facilitate constructive discussion of a serious canonical issue, and not with the intent to take sides on a question so fundamental to the life and sacramental function of the Society of St. Pius X. We pray for a peaceful resolution:
On April 4 last, the Pontifical Ecclesia Dei Commission published a letter from its President, Cardinal Müller, in relation to marriages celebrated by the priests of the SSPX. Explicitly approved by the Pope who ordered its publication, this document intends to regulate marriages celebrated within the framework of Catholic Tradition.
Following this letter, a vast communication campaign emanating from very different quarters would like to make us believe that, by this gesture, the Pope purely and simply recognizes the marriages which we celebrate, and even that he recognizes the validity of all the marriages which we have celebrated to date. The reality is, alas, very different.
Since this matter intimately affects you, since it concerns your family, your children who are of an age to get married, and your future, we are duty-bound to enlighten you both on the true significance of this Roman document as well as our attitude towards it.
The obvious validity of our marriages
As you know, for forty years now, the Roman authorities have been refusing to recognize the validity of the marriages which we celebrate, and this despite the Law of the Church.
Certainly, this Law envisages that the Sacrament of Matrimony be celebrated in the presence of the Parish Priest or his delegate, as well as before at least two witnesses. This is what is called the canonical form of marriage, necessary for its validity. However, since the priests of the Society of Saint Pius X are neither Parish Priests nor delegated by them, certain people maintain that the marriages they celebrate are invalid, due to lack of canonical form. This is the motive for which both Roman and diocesan tribunals do not hesitate to declare these marriages invalid. However, in doing so, they oppose the most fundamental Law of the Church.
In effect, this same Canon Law foresees the case where “it is not possible to have or to go to find an assistant who is competent according to the Law, without a great inconvenience”. If such a situation were foreseen to last thirty days, in this case Ecclesiastical Law recognizes the right of the future spouses to validly and licitly exchange their consent before lay witnesses alone; therefore without either the Parish Priest or a priest delegated by him. However, for the act to be licit, these future spouses must call on any other available priest, if this is possible. A marriage thus celebrated is done so according to what is called the extraordinary form. It is under this form that we have been both validly and licitly receiving the exchange of your marriage vows for the past forty years, without there being any possibility of doubt.
The State of Necessity
Because, as you know, there can, alas, be no doubt concerning the extraordinarily dramatic situation through which the Church is currently passing. For, ever increasingly in our own day, the Church is undergoing what Archbishop Lefebvre was accustomed to call “Satan's masterstroke”. This “masterstroke” consists in “spreading revolutionary principles by the authority of the Church Itself”. In effect, we see Church authorities, from the See of Peter right down to the Parish Priest, undermining the Catholic Faith via a deviant humanism which, placing the cult of conscience at the pinacle, dethrones Our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, the Kingship of Christ over human societies is simply unknown, or even combatted, and the Church is gripped by that liberal spirit which especially manifests itself in Religious Liberty, Ecumenism and Collegiality. Through this spirit, it is the very nature of the Redemption carried out by Our Lord Jesus Christ which is called into question, it is the Catholic Church, unique Ark of Salvation, which is de facto denied. Catholic Morality itself, already shaken in its foundations, is being overthrown by Pope Francis, for example when he explicitly opens the way for the divorced and “remarried”, living as a married couple, to receive Holy Communion.
This dramatic attitude of the Ecclesiastical authorities brings about a real state of necessity for the faithful. In effect, there is not only a great inconvenience, but even moreso a real danger in placing one's salvation in the hands of pastors who are imbued with this “adulterous” spirit, detrimental to both Faith and Morals. We have no other choice but to protect ourselves from such an authority because it “is in a situation of permanent incoherence and contradiction” and because “so long as this ambivalence has not been dissipated, disasters will multiply in the Church”. We are living in circumstances where true obedience requires us to disobey, because “we ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5, 29).
As long as this ambivalence of the Ecclesiastical authorities has not been dissipated, the great inconvenience foreseen by Canon 1098 will equally persist, and the celebration of marriages according to the extraordinary form will therefore be justified.
Furthermore, since Matrimony (like all the sacraments) implies a profession of Faith, we cannot go against the right which the faithful have to the sacraments by imposing on them a minister who habitually carries out his ministry in the adulterous direction officialised at Vatican II, while they have the possibility of referring to a priest who is unscathed by this prevarication in the Faith.
The significance of the Roman document
The true significance of the Roman document appears in light of these principles. Persisting in the disastrous line of Vatican II, the Roman authorities simply intend to deprive you of the extraordinary form of marriage by denying the state of necessity. Therefore, this document wants to oblige you to have recourse for your marriage to a diocesan priest, only leaving the priests of the SSPX with the possibility of celebrating the Mass which follows the ceremony. The Ecclesia Dei Commission foresees in effect that, “ insofar as possible, the Local Ordinary is to grant the delegation to assist at the marriage to a priest of the Diocese (or in any event, to a fully regular priest), such that the priest may receive the consent of the parties [...], followed ... by the celebration of Mass, which may be celebrated by a priest of the Society”.
It is only “where the above is not possible, or if there are no priests in the Diocese able to receive the consent of the parties, [that] the Ordinary may grant the necessary faculties to the priest of the Society”. In other words, it is only if there is a case of necessity (whose nature we do not know, because it is no longer the grave damage which the liberal spirit causes to the Catholic Faith) that the Bishop may give delegation to a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X. Every other marriage celebrated by a priest of the SSPX without explicit delegation of the Ordinary will continue to be considered invalid by the current holders of the supreme authority.
Apart from the fact that such a decision is as unjust as it is null, it is also a further violation of the spirit of the Law. The Ecclesia Dei Commission permits itself to do what even the New Code of Canon Law had not, that is to place the extraordinary form of marriage under the control of the Ordinary, and this at the expense of the natural right to marriage.
Our marriages, most certainly valid yesterday, today and tomorrow
So long as this dramatic state of the Church and the destructive ambivalence of Its highest authorities last, we will continue for our part to use the extraordinary form of marriage, without allowing ourselves to be unduly controlled by the Ordinary.
We will, therefore, continue to validly and licitly celebrate your marriages in our churches and chapels, as we have done up to now, referring for this to Canons 1098 of the Old Code and 1116 of the New, irrespective of any prior understanding with the Ordinary.
To those who object that such a practice would henceforward be invalid since the Ecclesiastical authorities are offering a possible delegation of the Ordinary, we reply that the state of necessity which legitimates our way of doing things is not canonical, but dogmatic, and that the impossibility of having recourse to the current authorities is not a physical, but a moral one. We simply do not want to abandon those souls who, driven by circumstances, confide in our ministry. They have not fled the prevaricating authorities in order for us to impose them upon them during one of the most important ceremonies of their life. Besides, those who make such an objection show that they know very little about Church Law, which reasons in precisely the opposite manner. In effect, the latter allows the faithful to volontarily place themselves in a case of necessity in order to contract a marriage according to the extraordinary form, even though they have the possibility of doing otherwise.
In the case where certain faithful would obtain from a Parish Priest the possibility of having their marriage celebrated in his Parish church, we would stick to our wise customs which have been established over time. Insofar as this Parish Priest is habitually well-disposed towards the Tradition of the Church and would allow us to preach the sermon, we can see no objection to him receiving the marriage vows according to the Traditional Ritual, while leaving a priest of our Society to celebrate Mass. But we will refuse to celebrate Mass in the case where, delegation having to be given, it is refused to us and given instead to an Ecclesia Dei priest, for example.
For the good of the Sacrament of Matrimony, for the good of your families, for the good of your souls, neither do we intend to submit the judgment of your marriages to an Ecclesiastical jurisdiction whose tribunals declare certainly valid marriges to be null, under the false pretext of a lack of psychological maturity on the part of the contracting parties. We know, besides, to what extent these same tribunals ratify de facto Catholic divorce by means of the simplified procedure for marriage annulments which has been promulgated by Pope Francis. That is why we will continue to only recognize as ultimate judge of these questions the Saint Charles Borromeo Canonical Commission, which the Society of Saint Pius X had to establish precisely because of these certainly invalid declarations of nullity.
Finally, permit us to express our great astonishment at the reaction to this Roman decision. The Personal Prelature which is being dangled before the eyes of the Society of Saint Pius X was supposed to recognize us as we are, and to maintain our independence vis-à-vis the local Ordinaries. However, the first decisions taken consist in unjustly submitting our marriages to these very Ordinaries, while tomorrow the opening of any new Houses will have to meet their approval. This shows to what extent double-speak reigns supreme not only in the domain of Faith and Morals, but even in these canonical matters.
Also, in this Centenary Year of the apparitions of Fatima, we invoke the Immaculate Heart of Mary, not so that She will end our canonical situation which is judged irregular by some, but so that the Church may be freed from Its Modernist occupation and that the highest authorities may once more find the path followed by the Church up to Vatican II. Then our bishops will be able to place their episcopacy in the hands of the Sovereign Pontiff.

Here it is the fundamental axioms of the Church's Law which are at stake: “The Supreme Law of the Church is the Salvation of Souls”, and “The sacraments are for well-disposed men”
 1917 Code 1917, Canon 1098 ; 1983 Code, Canon 1116.
Even in the case where there was a doubt as to the existence of this exceptional situation which authorizes the use of the extraordinary form of marriage, it must be emphasized that, according to the Law, the Church would supply for the lack of jurisdiction (1917, Canon 209; 1983 Code, Canon 144), therefore entirely maintaining the validity of the act.

C.f. André Sale, La forma straordinaria e il ministro della celebrazione del matrimonio secondo il codice latino e orientale, Pontificia Universita Gregoriana Editions, Rome 2003, pp. 142 to 154: on the eve of the Second Vatican Council, several bishops and cardinals asked for a modification of Canon 1098 in relation to the extraordinary form of marriage. To avoid abuses in the use of this form, they proposed that it should not be used without the spouses having at least attempted to have recourse to the Ordinary, and never against the advice of the latter. Thus, a plan for the modification of the aforementioned Canon was proposed at the 4th Session of the Council: “ [Forma extraordinaria celebrationis matrimonii] Ad valide contrahendum matrimonium coram solis testibus extra periculum mortis, praeter conditiones praescriptas in can. 1098 CIC, requiritur : a) ut petitio Ordinario loci facienda, si fieri possit, omissa non fuerit, vel matrimonium non celebretur nisi post mensem ab interposita petitione sine responsione ; b) ut matrimonium non celebretur contra ordinarii vetitum (Conc. Vatic. II ; Periodus III, in AS 3, pars 8, 1075) [The extrardinary form of the celebration of marriage] To validly contract marriage outside the danger of death and before the witnesses alone, and beyond the conditions prescribed by Canon 1098, it is required: a) that the request which must be made to the Local Ordinary be not omitted, if possible, or that the marriage not be celebrated before one month has elapsed since sending the request and without having received a response; b) that the marriage not be celebrated against the prohibition of the Ordinary”. Following a difficult discussion, the majority of the Conciliar Fathers decided to leave the decision in the hands of the Pope and the Commission for the Revision of Canon Law. This Commission dealt with this point several times (in 1970, 1975, 1978 and 1982), but the discussions were bitter. Finally, Canon 1116 of the New Code substantially reiterated Canon 1098, without introducing the least requirement to have recourse to the Ordinary in order to use the extraordinary form of marriage. The motive for this was to ensure the natural right to marriage in all circumstances.
March 13, 1910. the Sacred Congregation for the Sacraments declares valid a marriage which is contracted before witnesses alone and where, in order to circumvent the Law, the contracting parties have gone to a region where the common impossibility exists. C.f. Naz, Traité de Droit Canonique in Can. 1098, Volume II, N° 426, p. 377, Note 2.
In doing this, we would not intend, however, to endorse the manifest injustice of the new Roman decision, which makes a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X inapt to receive jurisdiction from a Parish Priest, and denies the latter a power which is, nonetheless, ordinary to him.

The campus of the Jesuit-run Fordham University is at peace this week after having undergone a terrible ordeal last week that could have resulted in the establishment of a dangerous and subversive group being set up in the heart of one of America’s most venerable Catholic universities.
Here’s how it went down.
A Chick-fil-A restaurant was planning to set up shop at Fordham’s New York City campus. Can you believe it? And the fast-food chicken giant would have succeeded had it not been for Fordham’s rainbow-sashed crusaders who managed to step in at the last minute and save the day.
As The Fordham Observer reports, thanks to the courage of the LGBTQ lobby (who didn’t allow fear of a fast-food restaurant stop them from standing up for peace, justice and the American way), other groups on campus soon discovered the will to fight. Everyone from the Commuter Students Association to the United Student Government leapt into action—led, of course, by the fearless campus’ Rainbow Alliance—to keep the pro-Christian marriage Chick-fil-A far away from Fordham. After all, there are young and impressionable kids on that campus!
We can laugh about it now, of course, but for a while there it looked like a pro-marriage chicken sandwich seller was about to gain a foothold at one of our premier Catholic universities. Thank God, the Rainbow Alliance at Fordham found a way to alert the Jesuit brass to the fact that, back in 2012, Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy had had the audacity to tell a Baptist newspaper that he believed in the biblical definition of marriage. The horror! Once that message went viral on campus, it was easy for the Jesuits to understand the urgency of the situation, and to do the right thing. “Get thee behind me, Chick-fil-A!” The Jesuits at Fordham took a stand.
That’s one way of putting it. Here’s another: Because a few whining activists put up a little stink over a chicken peddler on campus, a school run by one of the most powerful Catholic missionary orders in history couldn't summon the intestinal fortitude to stand with a restaurant chain under fire for defending the Church's position on marriage. Incredible as it may seem, Chick-fil-A is too Christian for Fordham University.
We've come a long way, baby:
The Society of Jesus, requiescat in pace.
A crucial point made by the Gladstone Institute:
There have never been so many childless politicians leading Europe as today. They are modern, open minded and multicultural and they know that "everything finishes with them". In the short term, being childless is a relief since it means no spending for families, no sacrifices and that no one complains about the future consequences. As in a research report financed by the European Union: "No kids, no problem!".
Being a mother or a father, however, means that you have a very real stake in the future of the country you lead. Europe's most important leaders leave no children behind.
Europe's most important leaders are all childless: German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the French presidential hopeful Emmanuel Macron. The list continues with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
As Europe's leaders have no children, they seem have no reason to worry about the future of their continent. READ MORE HERE
REMNANT COMMENT: Funny, how the stuff of outrageous and formerly unthinkable works of fiction is becoming the new reality in Europe.
Gee, I wonder why it was so important to get rid of Europe's last Catholic Emperor...
"This being so, it is clear that the Apostolic See cannot on any terms take part in their [Protestant] assemblies, nor is it anyway lawful for Catholics either to support or to work for such enterprises; for if they do so they will be giving countenance to a false Christianity, quite alien to the one Church of Christ." - Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos
Pope Francis: pretty comfortable with Charismatic gobbledygook and Protestant assemblies
Pope Francis has invited thousands of Catholic "charismatics" and members of Pentecostal and Evangelical churches to Rome to celebrate Pentecost and mark the 50th anniversary of the so-called Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
Francis, who has a history of participating in charismatic-interfaith events, will lead a prayer vigil on June 3, the eve of Pentecost, at Rome's Circus Maximus, and will offer Pentecost Mass the next morning in St. Peter's Square.
Question: Why would Francis entertain a sect that is manifestly errant and which the Church has already spoken against? In May 1969, for example, Pope Paul VI publicly denounced "the illusion of a free and charismatic Christianity" which ''does not build, but demolishes," and deplored those who "have recourse to gratuitous charismatic suppositions in order to fill up the interior emptiness created by their own loss of confidence in the guidance of the Church." The Holy Father also said: "Many who speak about the Church today say they are inspired by a prophetic spirit, and they appeal to the Holy Spirit as if the Divine Paraclete were at their disposal at all times. May God grant that this presumption, of elevating a personal experience into a criterion of religious doctrine, may not cause havoc!"
At his Wednesday Audience of May 17, 1972, Pope Paul again lamented the Charismatic Movement, saying that it attacks directly "the very existence of the Church," leading to "extinguishing the real flame of Pentecost, disregarding the thought of Christ and of the whole of Tradition." What he is saying is that the Charismatic Movement has no connection with the Holy Spirit, which means that Catholics should have no connection with it.
The Charismatic Movement is a diabolical sect, wherein the devil presents himself as the Holy Spirit for the purpose of luring Catholics away from the institutionalized Church. This insidious movement is promoted by the Freemasons as part of their plan to destroy the Catholic Church, and is intimately connected with what has often been dubbed the "Spirit of Vatican II."
Cardinal Leo Suenens who oversaw the implementation of the Worldwide Charismatic Movement in the Catholic Church was himself an initiated Freemason. He joined the Masonic lodge on June 15, 1967, under the code-name "LESU." Suenens also advocated married priests and was known for his open and hostile opposition to Pope Paul's encyclical letter on human life.
Even so, Pope Francis has gone on record as praising Suenens as "the great protagonist of the Second Vatican Council," and went so far as to recommend him as a model for the Church to follow while presiding at the 37th annual Charismatic Renewal in Rome on August 3, 2014. His fulsome praise raises serious concerns among faithful Catholics, especially in light of a recently published report concerning his long-time affiliation with Masonic Grand Master Licio Gelli who headed the infamous P2 Lodge in Italy. https://www.onepeterfive.com/freemasons-love-pope-francis-part-ii/
The Catholic Church strictly forbids any connection with Freemasonry, which means anything the secret society advocates, i.e. charismatic seances, ecumenism, witchcraft, homosexuality, etc. Though the attendees of these "charismatic" gatherings may mean well, they are going where angels would fear to go. They call upon "the spirit," but they seem to be calling down demons. Rolling around on the floor and speaking nonsensical syllables is not a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. So what, then?!
It suffices to say that the Charismatic Movement is a wing of the New Age Movement that has infiltrated the Church for the purpose of bringing about a new religion (so-called renewal). The babbling in tongues is but a surface indication of its true design, as the real purpose of this movement is to undermine the priesthood so that the authority of the priest falls into the hands of the laity, and a form of spiritual anarchy results. The fruit of the Charismatic Movement is always a challenge of the priesthood, a falling away from the Faith, and contempt for Christian morals. After all, if the Holy Spirit is speaking directly through me what need have I for the Church?
Why is Francis going out of his way next month to mislead tens of thousands of confused Catholics into believing that their charismatic escapades are something from God? The likely answer is that he himself is confused. "The operation of error to believe lying" seems to have taken hold of the Church at this time. (2 Thess. 2:10) In his Second Epistle to Timothy, St. Paul states "that in the last days, shall come dangerous times." (2 Timothy 3:1) "For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but...will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." (4:3)
The Blessed Virgin warned at Fatima in 1917 that if we did not heed Her requests to say the daily Rosary errors of Russia would spread throughout the world. This has come to pass with the implementation of Marxist principles in such a way that the "clench-fist" ideal is applied spiritually for the purpose of undermining the Church's hierarchical authority. Unfortunately, the Charismatic movement fueled the new revolution and brought about "a revolt" where the laity farcically assume priestly functions as extraordinary ministers, lectors, liturgical planners, etc.
Why is Francis fueling the revolt? Because he’s part of it.
ROME - The highest-ranking woman in the Vatican said Tuesday that strengthening international organizations such as the United Nations is the only way to deal with the problems of globalization, and predicted there “will be a movement to put more and more executive action” in international agencies.
Englishwoman Margaret Archer, President of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, said the Church should “leave national governments where they are,” and try to influence international organizations, such as the United Nations, to try and get policies implemented aimed at “bringing out global social change.”
She said the state of national politics is “terrible.”
“They are going Brexit. They are going Frexit. Europe is breaking up,” she said, making direct reference to both the British vote in June 2016 to leave the European Union, and last week’s French presidential elections, which put two outsiders - Marine Le Pen of the nationalist, Euro-skeptic National Front, and former investment banker Emmanuel Macron, a centrist former Socialist who has founded his own party - in the final runoff.
She said the electorate had “passions of a xenophobic kind” whipped up in different areas, which increased voter turnout in areas such as northeast England.
Archer said the same thing happened in France, which saw some of the highest turnout in years.
“So people are aware that big things are happening: Leaving the EU, deserting the European vision, a new configuration of alliances between countries, but it’s not giving those people anything,” she said.
“In fact, the ones who vote for Leave [the European Union] are going to wake up and they are going to have such a shock, because it is already happening,” Archer said, “look at the rate of the pound against the dollar and against the euro … Britons are already worse off economically, they only realize it when they go on holiday, that’s the paradox.” Under Archer’s direction - and that of the academy’s chancellor, Argentine Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo - the institution has been much more willing to take strong political stands. In 2016, it controversially invited U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders to speak at a conference at the Vatican in the middle of his presidential campaign. READ MORE HERE
REMNANT COMMENT: Anyone who still believes the Vatican is first and foremost concerned about the salvation of souls is either deluded or in total denial. Clearly, the Church is in the hands of radical leftists who are much more interested in the New World Order than in the social Kingship of Christ. And as we see it, the sooner practicing Catholics begin to wake up to what's really going on here the better the chances to run these imposters out of our Church. But if we continue to pretend the Vatican is still Catholic, we're apt to end up locked up in a gulag somewhere at the recommendation of the Vatican. The charge? Fundamentalism and religious supremacism, of course.
The shepherds have not only abandoned the flock; they've actually joined the wolves.
By the way, get out of our Church, lady--and take your demons with you!
Fra’ Festing Just Says No (It’s about time someone did)
First, the wily Argentinian Jesuit on the Chair of Peter extorted the resignation of Fra’ Matthew Festing, former Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta (to use its popular name), summoning him to a secret audience on short notice and then demanding that he write out and sign a letter of resignation on the spot. With that, whatever remained of the sovereignty of the Sovereign Order of Malta was de facto annihilated.
Then, after having told Festing during the same audience that it would be alright if he were reelected as Grand Master at the meeting of the Order’s State Council commencing in Rome on April 29—a representation worth less than a Venezuelan Bolivar—Pope Bergoglio had his henchman, Archbishop Becciu, inform Festing that he is not to participate in the election or even be present in Rome while the meeting is held. In what was evidently thought to be a cunning maneuver, Becciu attempted to pass off this outrageous abuse of authority as his own decision, which he had merely “shared with the Holy Father.”
From our friends at Gloria TV:
The Austrian philosopher Thomas Stark analyzes in a recent panel discussion in Vienna the base of modern theological errors. The panel was organized by "Una Voce Austria". A video is here: "There are sinister ideologies underlying the New Mass"
Erroneous Trio: Mentality of Change - Evolutionism - Gnosticism
Stark points to a recent interview of the new General of the Jesuits, Arturo Soza. He suggested to reinterpret the words of Jesus according to a changing language, context and culture. Stark summarized this position as the following mentality: "Things always change. We don't know what our Lord really said. It all depends on several changing contexts."
The ideological layer behind the described mentality is for Stark evolutionism: History is - in nature and in society - seen as an uprising development , that makes things - always and automatically - better and better.
Stark sees underneath the mentality of change and the ideology of evolution another deeper layer: the metaphysics of Gnosticism: "It says in its core, that not only the world is developing, but that the Absolute in itself develops by flowing into its own creation."
Three views of the world: Heathendom, Christendom or Gnosticism
In Gnosticism the Divine cause of everything develops itself by the evolution of nature and culture: "The gnostic metaphysics has been constructed at the same time, when the Catholic Church started to lay down her theological foundation by means of Greek philosophy - in the second century." REMNANT COMMENT: Professor Stark--perhaps the premier traditional Catholic intellectual in Austria today--is an old and dear friend of The Remnant. Please read this article, and then watch the video. Few Catholics in Europe today understand better the truly gnostic nature of the heresy of Cardinal Kasper. If you want to know Kasper and, by extension, Francis, study the work of Professor Thomas Stark.
With the Shrine's New Masses all celebrated ad orientem and the TLM no stranger inside of her walls (several high-profile Traditional Latin Masses having taken place here already) -- --this is one of the bright spots in the post-conciliar Church. Please God, may it continue to advance in the direction of traditional Catholic restoration -- the only hope of the whole world.
President Trump built on his rapidly-developing legacy of rolling back U.S. federal support for abortion last Thursday, signing a bill that invalidates an executive order his predecessor rolled out in the last moments of his presidency.
Trump signed into law an express provision allowing states to strip Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics of family planning money under Title X.
In the final days of his administration, President Obama developed a new rule that made it nearly impossible for state legislators to withhold federal family planning funds from any group that provides services related to pregnancy care, contraception, or STDs, regardless of whether or not they provided abortions.
In March the Senate used Vice President Mike Pence to cast the tie-breaking vote and overturn the rule. READ MORE HERE
REMNANT COMMENT: As The Remnant pointed out again and again before the election, a Trump Administration is going to be a mixed bag. There are plenty of uncertainties and even reasons to be concerned right now, but some good things are happening, as well, and this is certainly one of them.
Trump is making good on promises he made to pro-lifers. And, since abortion ranks among the most important moral issues of the day (calling to heaven for vengeance against our nation)—the unrestrained sacrificing of America's unborn to the god Moloch—this is not insignificant, either as we see it or in the eyes of God.
What's next? God only knows, but in a world drunk on the blood of the innocent, we can thank God for these measures which, if nothing else, remind the world that not every American is a baby-killing, sex-changing, drug addicted citizen of Oceania. Decent American people voted for Trump, and his overturning of Obama's protections for the evil Planned Parenthood helps them remember why.
