Easter, Feast of Triumph

by Father Joseph Kreuter

Christmas and Easter, the outstanding festivals of the Church Year, commemorate two great mysteries of Christianity that have been heralded by angels from on high in these words: “This day is born to you a Savior” and: “He is risen, He is not here.”

Blessed Karl and the Resurgence of Christian Hungary

Padre Pio once prophesied about Hungary, then suffering under the yoke of Communism: “Hungary is like a cage, out of which someday a beautiful bird will take flight. Much suffering still lies ahead for them, but in all of Europe their part will be of unparalleled glory. I envy the Hungarians, because through them a great joy will someday flood over the human race. ...”
Could we be seeing today the beginning of this resurgence?

We look at the crisis within our Church and we see therein the passion of the Mystical Body of Christ unfolding before our eyes. And in the darkness that is falling again, we plead as Mary might have: Dear Jesus, we are not strong enough to be without You
