The two rows of colonnades which frame St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican were designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini to resemble arms outstretched in welcome. (https://vatican.com/St-Peters-Square-Colonnades/) The Catholic Church is universal and open to all who seek salvation. At the base of the Statue of Liberty in New York City is a secular version of this sentiment: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.” (https://www.nps.gov/stli/learn/historyculture/colossus.htm) For the Church, however, there are no “masses,” no “teeming” throngs of faceless proletariat. There are individual sinners, and the Church is Christ seeking out the lost sheep, calling everyone home by name. Everyone may knock on the doors of the Church and seek baptism, forgiveness, and the bread of everlasting life.

One of Remnant TV’s recent videos featured Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. discussing his forthcoming book, The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health. The entire discussion warrants attention but one of his main points focused on a dilemma that is especially important to faithful Catholics: what do you do when an apparent authority demands that you act in a way that conflicts with your conscience and common sense?

The debate over the recently-announced vaccine mandate is awash in illogic.

For example: vaccines are like seatbelts, we’re told. But how many of us have to wear three, four, even five seatbelts at a time?  How many of us have to buckle in to additional seatbelts the longer we drive?

Faithful Catholics have penned mountains of books and articles describing the infiltration of the Catholic Church leading up to Vatican II and the seemingly unlimited anti-Catholic fruits that have followed. As the picture of treachery and incompetence becomes clearer, more Catholics have (properly) started to evaluate Vatican II in light of tradition instead of evaluating the Church’s pre-Vatican II history entirely in light of the Council. Unfortunately, the picture is still as complex as it is unpleasant. For better or worse, though, we can get a surprisingly accurate glimpse of the crisis with a simple examination of the evolving use of the phrase “men of good will.”

Letter from the Faithful Attached to the Traditional Latin Mass, to Catholics of the Whole World

“What man is there among you, of whom if his son shall ask bread, will he reach him a stone?” (Mt 7:9)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have been deeply saddened to learn of Pope Francis’ decision to revoke the main provisions of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum promulgated by Pope Benedict XVI on July 7, 2007. After decades of division and quarrels, Summorum Pontificum was a source of peace and reconciliation for all Catholics.

As the betrayal in Afghanistan unfolded over the past few gut-wrenching weeks, people from all political persuasions began to demand answers. “Someone has to take responsibility for abandoning Americans to be raped, tortured, enslaved, and murdered by the Taliban,” the country cried out. “The people running the State Department, Pentagon, White House (whoever that mystery person happens to be), and Democrat-media-complex must be held to account.”

Over the last eighteen months, Australia has become a battleground for the opposing forces of freedom and totalitarianism. Some states have endured multiple, ongoing lockdowns and experimental vaccines have been mandated in many industries across the nation. At the Federal level, both the government and opposition are attempting to introduce vaccine passports while our Bishops have openly encouraged Catholics to accept the abortion-tainted vaccines. Add to this a new law that enables police to take control of private social media accounts and electoral changes that could see the end of minor parties, and it becomes obvious that Australia is in quite a mess.

Two councils, over four hundred years apart, set forth profoundly different interpretations of the role of Jesus Christ’s earthly mission. Can you identify the two councils based on the passages below?

Council A

“Whereby it came to pass that the heavenly Father, ‘the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort,’ when that ‘blessed fullness of time’ was come sent to men Christ Jesus, His Son, who had been announced and promised, both before the Law and at the time of the Law to many holy Fathers, that He might both redeem the Jews, who were under the Law, and the ‘Gentiles, who did not follow after justice, might attain to justice,’ and that all men ‘might receive the adoption of sons.’ ‘Him God has proposed as a propitiator through faith in His blood, for our sins,’ and not for our sins only, but also for those of the whole world. But although Christ died for all, yet not all receive the benefit of His death, but those only to whom the merit of His passion is communicated. For, as indeed men would not be born unjust, if they were not born through propagation of the seed of Adam, since by that propagation they contract through him, in conception, injustice as their own, so unless they were born again in Christ, they never would be justified, since in that new birth through the merit of His passion, the grace, whereby they are made just, is bestowed upon them.”
