Will Francis Abolish the Latin Mass? (Archbishop Lefebvre Still Resists… Even from the Grave)

My position has long been that thanks to the historic stand taken by Lefebvre, all the TLM fraternities—approved and unapproved—have done a remarkably good job preserving the traditions and liturgical patrimony of the entire Church despite the Vatican’s best efforts to use indults and chicanery to ultimately suppress the same. And while I am not an advocate of regularization under Francis, I urgently call on all traditional priests to put partisan differences aside and, in one voice, send the Vatican a message: We will not back down this time! If it’s war Francis wants, it’s war Francis gets.

Making America 1979 Again

In 1979, the Carter coast-to-coast malaise paved the way for Ronald Reagan’s conservative reform. History would do well to not only rhyme but repeat itself.

Let Us Prey

He helped fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan laboratory where the pandemic was handmade. Then he lied about it, and also lied about lockdowns and masks and vaccines while literally billions of people around the world lost wages, sleep, and in many cases their lives. What’s the Big Deal with the Pentecost Octave?

The concept of the eighth day is important in Christian theology. The eighth, being one more beyond the seven-day week that represents the order of creation, symbolizes the eternal life reached after passing through this earthly life. In the Jewish reckoning, in which the Sabbath is the seventh day, Sunday—the day of Our Lord’s resurrection from the dead—can be seen as both the first day (the new creation of light) and the eighth day (the gateway to eternity). Running through a week like this—the week of creation that culminates in God’s rest, and beyond it to the day of the resurrection—symbolizes the fullness of the Church’s rejoicing (it is for all time ) and the eternal joy of heaven.

Fighting These Vile Flames with Holy Fire

Flames. Many people who disagree with each other on almost everything share the sense that the world is on fire. The existence of the cartoon itself illustrates the fact that there is a concerted effort on the part of the arsonists to convince the world that the flames have been fed by traditional belief structures that must now be cut off at the source. The arsonists will continue to wage war with every weapon they have, but we have now entered a phase in which they can simply turn the faithful of the Church of Covid against the infidels. These hellish flames will of course spread as society accelerates away from God, and the opposing sides will blame each other.

NEVER FORGET: On the 100th Birthday of Sophie Scholl

Anyone watching a Hollywood WWII movie today will come away with the impression that the entire country idolized Hitler and hated Jews, Catholics and anyone who disagreed with the “Fuehrer”. But that just wasn’t the case. In fact, the state of Israel has an honor title of sorts; “ Righteous Among the Nations (Hebrew: חֲסִידֵי אֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם, khasidei umót ha’olám )” for non-Jews, who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from extermination by the Nazis: 601 persons from Germany are named on that list, including the names of 16+ Soldiers, Policemen, and Officials.
