Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)
RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome
Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.
Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

At the introduction of the Catholic Identity Conference 2017, emcee Michael J. Matt speaks of the present crisis in the Church as one without precedent. He explains why is it worse than the Arian crisis, and how the modern Church has brought this on by reneging on her own claim to be the sole means of salvation. Michael then gives background information on Bishop Athanasius Schneider as he introduces His Excellency as this year's CIC honored guest speaker.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – The annual pontifical mass in honor of the Emperor Blessed Karl of Austria took place yesterday (October 21, 2017) at Mary Mother of God Church in Washington, D.C. The event, organized by the United States branch of the Blessed Karl League of Prayer, received a large turnout of around 500 people, among whom, most importantly, were His Highness Prince Dimitri Galitzine, great-grandson of Blessed Karl, and his wife, Her Highness Princess Alexandra Galitzine. The pontifical mass was celebrated by his Excellency, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, O.R.C, auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Astana, Kazakhstan, with Reverend D.B. Thomas as Assistant Priest, Reverend Luke Melcher as deacon, and Reverend Garrett O’Brien as subdeacon.
Emperor Honored in Nation’s Capital: Coordinator Meets Pope (Grants Remnant Interview) Featured
By: Olivia RaoIntroduction by Michael J. Matt
Clearly, the current crisis in the Church is now without precedent. If history is hiding a more disastrous pontificate than that of Pope Francis, I’d be interested to learn which one. And as the battle for the soul of the human element of Christ’s Church rages on—a battle which, as Our Lady predicted it would, now has “cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops…churches and altars sacked… and [a Church] full of those who accept compromises”—there is a growing temptation to conclude that all is lost and it’s time to go off and “do our own thing”. But then, what? What happens to the Church if all her faithful sons and daughters abandon her? This is not an option for the faithful Catholic—the soldier of Christ—who must stand up, step up, and fight on. When the Son of Man returns he must find faith, if only in a remnant.
Raymond Cardinal Burke: New Apologist for the Sedevacantists?
By: John F. Salza, Esq.What's it all mean? Is this the beginning of a new 'reign of terror'? The mob is out of control again, and just as it turned on Robespierre the first time around it's again turning on its own (e.g., Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco last week). The one standing up to it is not the Pope, not the bishops, but a most unlikely political figure--the only geopolitical voice in the world still defending Christianity and Catholic history. Plus, the latest on next week's Catholic Identity Conference.

By: Remnant StaffTurns out the famous "Anti-hate" group, the Southern Poverty Law Center, exhibits many characteristics of an actual hate group... Raise your hand if you already called it!
Watch PragerU.com's Karl Zinsmeister break it down:
REMNANT COMMENT: Radical liberals really are pretty sluggish folks. One dimensional as the day is long, they tend to be about as subtle as a space shuttle as they beat their dead horses into pulp. After a while, people get wise to their shtick.
This certainly applies to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which lately has started to take on all the gravitas of the funny papers. In fact, those who still take the SPLC seriously seem to hail from one of two camps: 1) Radical ideologues in the mainstream media, posing as objective journalists, and 2) folks who haven't cracked a non-fiction book since high school. The rest of the world is laughing at this goofy guy who's the only one in the room who thinks his toupee is at all convincing.
I felt so embarrassed for the SPLC after watching the above video that I decided to go out and find an actual hater for the SPLC to use to scare the social security checks out of little old ladies. He's evidently living up in the mountains somewhere, cold and isolated. He's a loner, who by all accounts is downright extremist in his anti-socialism. He's also a racist who doesn't get along well with his neighbors. Simply put, he's a big time hater:
Go get him, SPLC—and let’s be careful out there.
SPLC JUMPS THE SHARK: I'm a hater, you're a hater, wouldn't you like to be a hater too?
By: Michael J. Matt | EditorWhen we lost Cardinal Carlo Caffarra on September 6, 2017, we gained--it is to be securely hoped--an advocate in Heaven. His Eminence was well known as one of the “Dubia Cardinals,” or four papal advisors who presented Pope Francis with five concisely-worded queries which, if answered unequivocally and in accordance with Tradition, would put a virtual halt to the moral maelstrom in which the universal Church is presently being engulfed. For over a calendar year now, the world has been waiting in vain for a response from the pontiff who approaches all difficulties (or so he ceaselessly proclaims) through “dialogue, dialogue, dialogue.”[1] Cardinal Caffarra has now followed Joachim Cardinal Meisner, requiescant in pace, in completing his earthly pilgrimage before being received by His Holiness in response to their earnest request.
Mike and Chris have an unscripted conversation about the latest scandal out of the Francis pontificate, the filial correction, what it really means to "reject" the Second Vatican Council, President Trump's repeal of the Obamacare contraceptive mandate and more.
The Lutheran Bishop-to-be, Rev. Katherine Finegan, made fancy invites for her "festive installation service", which will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Cathedral in Michigan... What's wrong with this picture?
REMNANT COMMENT: This event is also announced in the "Tidings of Peace" October 2017 newsletter, in which something called "Pastor Andrea Fluegel" rather breathlessly reveals that Martin Lurther just barely "survived" being burnt at the stake by the Catholic Church, thank God, and then went on to save the world or some such nonsense. (It's a fun read, Pastor Andrea. Feel free to use our cathedral, and then maybe call us when the shuttle lands.)
In the meantime, hey, whom are we to judge first--the apparent apostates running the show over at St. Peter's Cathedral in Marquette, or the man who's giving this kind of thing the great, big green light?
