Christophobia in Australia

A soft persecution of Christians in Australia is continuing to grow in scale and intensity, as our failed multicultural experiment and DEI policies prioritise minorities and even criminals over the ostensibly Christian majority. New laws aimed at banning ‘hate speech; censorship of anything that casts Islam in an unfavourable light; leniency towards migrant criminals; as well as open sacrilege add to the list of offences against Christians, with some actions specifically placing Catholics in the firing line. This article provides a sampling of Christophobic policies from legislation, education, and the media to indicate how anti-Christian sentiment is flourishing around the nation.

The hawks in Europe are rearing their ugly heads again

As realistic and pro-peace factions in Europe continue to push for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, the war hawks among the European elites are showing their true colors, touting increased rearmament as a virtue. Perhaps the pro-war jokers have arrived at the conclusion that increased defense spending is more economically profitable than a commitment to woke ideology and Net Zero.

Will the Next Conclave Produce a Pope for the Catholic Church, or Just a Heretical Bishop of Rome for the Synodal Church?

The health of Pope Francis has been the subject of much debate, but as of March 6th the official Vatican report stated that the Pope’s “condition has remained stable compared to previous days. Today as well, he has not experienced any episodes of respiratory insufficiency… The doctors still maintain a reserved prognosis.” Still, the thoughts of many are turning toward the next conclave.

The Trump administration should distance itself from the Tate brothers

Some conservatives (including many Trump supporters) have fallen prey to the Tate brothers’ views. If the Trump administration is really sincere about kicking wokeism to the curb, and preserving the traditional notions of family (including marriage, fatherhood and motherhood), keeping a safe distance from the Tate brothers and their version of “manhood” would be a step in the right direction.

A Short Lenten Mediation on Ash Wednesday

No matter what happens in Rome, with our most unfortunate Pope; no matter what the gods of the so-called New World Order have in store for us; Christ crucified is all that really matters today and for the next forty days of Lent.

Oval Office fiasco:  Zelensky v. Trump

Ukrainian-American bilateral ties are at an all-time low, especially since last Friday’s (February 28) much-publicized spat between American leaders (US President Donald Trump and Vice-President J.D. Vance) and Ukrainian authoritarian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the Oval Office.

The Health of Pope Francis and Prayers for Spiritual Recovery

As of March 3, the Vatican Press Office gave the following update on the health of Pope Francis: “Earlier today, #PopeFrancis experienced two episodes of acute respiratory insufficiency, caused by a significant accumulation of endobronchial mucus & consequent bronchospasm. Two bronchoscopies were therefore performed, requiring the aspiration of abundant secretions. In the afternoon, non-invasive mechanical ventilation was resumed. The Holy Father has remained alert, aware of his surroundings, & cooperative at all times. The prognosis remains reserved.”

Secession’s Hotel California

Can red states annex their blue cities? Not even sort of! But increasingly, they want to. Illinois, for example, is largely a red state with Chicago and Cook County dominating the rest. The same is true in New York with New York City and in Pennsylvania with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Many states would be better purging their leftist cities.

Pope’s Health Improves

I don’t understand (or support) the dead pool going on right now with respect to the death of Pope Francis. I don’t know if he’s dying or not and, quite frankly, I believe it would amount to nothing more than clickbait to pretend that I do. I have gone on the record as praying for his happy death and the repose of his soul when the time comes and have no intention of amending or retracting that prayer. Here’s why:

Would Another Pope Like Benedict XVI Be Good for the Church?

Reports from the Vatican continue to trickle information on the potential recovery of Pope Francis. More on that here. But his hospitalization has lead many to begin to turn their thoughts toward the next conclave. Those who stand united in their love for the Traditional Latin Mass and their disapproval for Francis often disagree on their assessments of Benedict XVI’s papacy, and so it is reasonable to ask: would it be a good thing if the next conclave elected a pope who held the same theological views as Benedict XVI?

Novissimus Ordo Missae

This task was speedily accomplished and the results were promptly presented to a select and, conveniently, pre-selected assembly. As had been divined by both the breathlessly eager and the discreetly despairing, the Synod had, after some palaver and at least one minor invocation to the spirits of the rainforest, produced a state-of-the-art, culturally sensitive, ecumenically expansive, and environmentally biodegradable Novissimus Ordo Missae, the latest Order of Mass.
