Francis is Gaslighting the World Into Thinking Christianity is a Hate Crime

It is fiendish gaslighting for Francis and Tucho to tell us that Fiducia Supplicans constitutes an “innovative broadening" of the Church’s teachings about blessings and then insist that only hypocrites and haters see it as an “innovative broadening” of what the Church has always taught.

In his interview published by the Italian magazine Credere on February 8, 2024, Francis scolded those who question Fiducia Supplicans, the December document authorizing the blessing of same-sex unions:

“‘The gravest sins,’ the Pope adds, ‘are those that disguise themselves with a more 'angelic' appearance. No one is scandalised if I give a blessing to an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people: and this is a very serious sin. Whereas they are scandalised if I give it to a homosexual . . . This is hypocrisy! We must all respect each other. Everyone! The heart of the document is welcome.”

With this, the world sees the reputed pope saying that those who question the orthodoxy of Fiducia Supplicans are hypocrites who do not respect those in same-sex unions. These hypocrites are, as the woke world labels them, hateful bigots.

Supporters of Fiducia Supplicans place considerable emphasis on the assertion that the blessing of same-sex unions is different from marriage. The self-defeating inanity of this argument is stunning because it constitutes an admission that it truly is the “union” that is being blessed rather than two individuals who happen to present themselves at the same time for a blessing.

Even before this interview, many Catholics had already come to the defense of Fiducia Supplicans, insisting that it is indeed consistent with Church teaching. They tell us the we just need to set aside our animosity for Francis and “read the document” to see that it is sound teaching. But, of course, we have read the document and we can plainly see the following contradictions:

Why write the document if nothing has changed? If the blessing of same-sex unions is truly consistent with Church teaching, why did Cardinal Víctor Manuel “Tucho” Fernández and Francis release it with such fanfare? And why would Tucho introduce the document by calling it an “innovative contribution” that permits “a broadening” of the “classical understanding of blessings” in a way that “implies a real development”?:

“As with the Holy Father’s above-mentioned response to the Dubia of two Cardinals, this Declaration remains firm on the traditional doctrine of the Church about marriage, not allowing any type of liturgical rite or blessing similar to a liturgical rite that can create confusion. The value of this document, however, is that it offers a specific and innovative contribution to the pastoral meaning of blessings, permitting a broadening and enrichment of the classical understanding of blessings, which is closely linked to a liturgical perspective. Such theological reflection, based on the pastoral vision of Pope Francis, implies a real development from what has been said about blessings in the Magisterium and the official texts of the Church. This explains why this text has taken on the typology of a ‘Declaration.’”

It is fiendish gaslighting for Francis and Tucho to tell us that Fiducia Supplicans constitutes an “innovative broadening" of the Church’s teachings about blessings and then insist that only hypocrites and haters see it as an “innovative broadening” of what the Church has always taught.

If this is the same as blessing corrupt businessmen, where is the document permitting that? Francis insists that this is the same as blessing any sinners: “No one is scandalised if I give a blessing to an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people: and this is a very serious sin.” If that is the case, where are the documents specifically authorizing each such blessing of specific sinful behaviors? And if no such specific document is needed for the blessing of “an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people,” then obviously Fiducia Supplicans purports to authorize something quite different than simply blessing a person who happens to be a sinner (as we all are). Francis and Tucho cannot have it both ways: either this is innovative and they need a new document, or it is consistent with what the Church has always taught and there is no need to issue a document they describe as “innovative.” So this is another indication of fiendish gaslighting.

Who, other than Satan, pressured Francis and Tucho to issue Fiducia Supplicans? As Michael Matt often highlights in his Remnant Underground videos, Francis is far more welcoming to the world’s anti-Catholic globalist elites than he is to practicing Catholics. Could it be that his recent visitors — Soros, Clinton, Pelosi, Biden, etc. — encouraged him to take such a step?

If the sinful union is not being blessed, why insist that this is distinct from marriage?  Supporters of Fiducia Supplicans place considerable emphasis on the assertion that the blessing of same-sex unions is different from marriage. The self-defeating inanity of this argument is stunning because it constitutes an admission that it truly is the “union” that is being blessed rather than two individuals who happen to present themselves at the same time for a blessing. If this was not the case, then there would be no reason for Fiducia Supplicans to instruct bishops and priests to avoid a fixed ritual that would be confused with the Sacrament of Marriage:

“Within the horizon outlined here appears the possibility of blessings for couples in irregular situations and for couples of the same sex, the form of which should not be fixed ritually by ecclesial authorities to avoid producing confusion with the blessing proper to the Sacrament of Marriage.”

If this was the blessing of individuals, then there would obviously be no risk of confusing it with the Sacrament of Marriage. So we have yet another indication of fiendish gaslighting.

If you are blessing the same-sex union, is there any union you would not bless? If the Church can bless this union because it is not a marriage, surely it can bless any unions. So a priest who celebrates the marriage of a couple in the morning should have no problem whatsoever with the newly married husband presenting himself to the priest at the wedding reception asking for the blessing of his romantic union with another woman or a man, even if they happen to be his family members. No problem, so long as the ritual is not to be confused with a marriage ceremony!

If this is consistent with Church teaching, why allow African bishops to ban it? Francis is permitting the African bishops to reject Fiducia Supplicans, but how can bishops refuse to do what the Church should do? How does this promote the welcoming Church sought by Francis? Could Western bishops refuse to bless expectant mothers because they do not want population growth? Could gay bishops refuse to bless the betrothals of heterosexual couples? Is Francis permitting the African bishops to refuse the Fiducia Supplicans blessing because he is a racist who thinks Africans are incapable of understanding Tucho’s theology? Or is this just another component of fiendish gaslighting?

If we consider these simple reflections in light of Francis’s interview, we can see the disturbing reality that Fiducia Supplicans is primarily intended to fabricate the pretense that Catholics who oppose blessing of same-sex unions do so because they are hateful bigots.

All of Francis’s globalist muses detest the Church’s position on same-sex unions, so they could hope for nothing more than to have Francis appear to authorize the Church’s blessing of same-sex unions and then denounce as hypocrites those who oppose his gaslighting.

If we consider these simple reflections in light of Francis’s interview, we can see the disturbing reality that Fiducia Supplicans is primarily intended to fabricate the pretense that Catholics who oppose blessing of same-sex unions do so because they are hateful bigots. Francis and Tucho did not devise Fiducia Supplicans to show their love for those in same-sex unions — they devised Fiducia Supplicans to weaponize their hatred for those who profess the beliefs of unadulterated Catholicism.

In various ways, God has warned us that these days would come, and He has told us what to do:

“And there shall be great earthquakes in divers places, and pestilences, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there shall be great signs. But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before kings and governors, for My Name's sake. And it shall happen unto you for a testimony. Lay it up therefore into your hearts, not to meditate before how you shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to resist and gainsay. And you shall be betrayed by your parents and brethren, and kinsmen and friends; and some of you they will put to death. And you shall be hated by all men for My Name's sake. But a hair of your head shall not perish. In your patience you shall possess your souls.” (Luke 21: 11-19)

Our task today is to patiently cooperate with God’s grace to never abandon the unadulterated Catholic Faith He gave us. At this point, we would know we were on the wrong side if we were not being persecuted for holding to God’s truth. They will persecute us; God will crush them; and, if we patiently cooperate with God’s grace to do all we can to combat their wickedness, we will save our souls and honor God. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
