Playing the Trump Card

Playing the Trump Card

One of the harsh realities of living behind enemy lines in an occupied country is that we just don’t have much political leverage where the things that matter most to us are concerned. In the new Remnant Underground (see video below this post), I initiate a conversation for which I hope traditional Catholics will see a pressing need, even if they disagree with my conclusions.

As I see it, we’ve got to talk not about the hand we prefer, but the hand we’ve been dealt. I am not attempting to whitewash Donald Trump. He is what he is, and I take it for granted that Remnant readers will recognize that I understand the extent to which Donald Trump – while committed to the America-first vision – does not align himself with the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ. He’s not Catholic, which means that by default he is largely indifferent to the things that matter most to us as Catholics.

On the other hand, the alternative is actively working to criminalize the things that matter most to us, while actively trying to destroy what's left of our country. If they get their way, they will ban homeschooling, for example, and thus cancel my God-given right to raise my children as I see fit while forcing my children into classrooms where they will lose their souls. This issue is actually more proximate to me personally than even abortion. They've already made homeschooling illegal in most of Europe, and with four more years of Biden they will make the same thing happen here.

The question is: What are we allowed to do in order to leverage the minimal influence we have against people who want to legislate the destruction not just of the unborn but also of our own born children.

So, when we factor in all the issues that matter most to us – including abortion – what does our duty before God and our children allow and prohibit in situations like these? It’s not just a matter of “may” we vote for the "lesser of two evils"? In fact, I am talking about voting for the good – a chance for my children to grow up in a home school where they will not end up castrated. And to that end, the question is: What are we allowed to do in order to leverage the minimal influence we have against people who want to legislate the destruction not just of the unborn but also of our own born children.

Or, as Remnant columnist, Robert Morrison puts it: “All thinking voters should be able to answer a basic question: if you want to have a smaller number of abortions over the next four years, should you vote for Mr. Biden or Mr. Trump?” Obviously, these questions do not have to escalate into a screaming match. There are objective moral principles which can and should be applied. Personal opinion doesn't have much to do with it.

In addition, many of us have long since given up on the American Uniparty. I myself sat out several elections in the past. No, "pro-life" Neocon warmongers like George W. Bush did not get my vote, thanks be to God.

So, we ask questions like these: Which cultural demographic does each respective candidate empower to have dominion over our families?

After all these years, I'm not actually looking for a savior in individual candidates so much as I'm looking for political outcomes which offer us the best tools to protect our children against the Satanic agenda of the Globalists. Operating behind these enemies lines, we're not talking about party politics. We're talking self-defense and survival.

So, we ask questions like these: Which cultural demographic does each respective candidate empower to have dominion over our families? If Joe Biden is reelected, that demographic will consist of Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, Dylan Mulvaney, and a horde of racist, baby-killing Globalists -- Christophobes who have promised to lock us down, erase our borders, and federalize a national right to abortion.

What about Trump? Well, in that case the demographic will consist of a mixed bag of patriots, garden variety pro-lifers, at least nominal Christians, and the America First crowd. Serious disagreements notwithstanding, many good people -- especially those with children to raise -- prefer to take their chances with the latter demographic rather than the gender-confused Marxist zombies that come with the former.

If Trump wins, patriots and Bible thumpers will have to be appeased if there is any hope for his party to keep the White House in 2028. If Biden wins, the country will be at the mercy of open-borders Satanists in drag.

Simply put: If Trump wins, patriots and Bible thumpers will have to be appeased if there is any hope for his party to keep the White House in 2028. If Biden wins, the country will be at the mercy of open-borders Satanists in drag who will work diligently to put our kids in jail. If the latter nightmare scenario can be avoided without us engaging in false compromise, we have not only a right but also a duty to vote in defense of our children.

These considerations and many others just like them are why this conversation needs to happen. It needs to happen now, and it needs to rise above statements of the obvious where abortion is concerned.

I hope we can all agree that we’re literally "all in this together," trying to do God’s will in this fog of war. Let's keep the clans united and let's pray with una voce for the best possible outcome for our kids, regardless of how we parents vote in November.

I look forward to your thoughts.
