Ugliness is Part of the State Religion of the Tyrannical “Pluralist” West

According to the current mentality, the order of things is founded on “nothing”. Rather, an order of things simply does not exist. “Nothing” sustains the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. For the first time in history, abnormality is the basis of normality.

Intro by John Rao: The fact that worship of the divinity we would call “Ugliness” has become part of the tyrannical State Religion of the United States and the Pluralist West as a whole has been central to my work in the last year. This cult signifies the end of the whole of Western Civilization. It does so because that civilization, in its broadest sense, started on its path through history with the realization on the part of the Ancient Greeks that they could only find the meaning of life, and then bring that meaning personally to fruition, if they could discover what “The Beautiful” was all about and how they could obtain it. The Catholic Church appreciated this natural quest, but made it clear that only membership in the Body of Christ could complete what the Greeks had begun, the final consequence being eternal possession of the Beautiful with the Beatific Vision.

Our Tyrants, the global “Masters of Them That Know”, have added insult to injury by rooting their worship of Ugliness in the abandonment of every framework for gaining knowledge of reality, both supernatural and natural. They do so while still having the audacity to demand our assent to their assertion that they and they alone have assured the reign of Individual Liberty, Equality, Democratic Fraternity, and, in fact even the Beauty their divinity tramples upon as well. It is not enough for them to paste models of grossly deformed and mutilated men and women dressed in garments they wish to foist upon the plebs in department store windows. They expect us to swoon in front of them and still consider them “beautiful”. Their idol requires this sacrifice from us along with the total rejection of Divine and Natural Law. Unfortunately, the final consequence of their hunt for possession of the Ugly—that is nevertheless still identified as being Beautifulis eternal life in Hell.

As much as I wanted to write this article myself, this morning I happened to find another one on an Italian blog, that of Maurzio Blondet (Maurizio Blondet & Friends), that said basically what I wanted to say already. I am therefore handing over the platform to its author, Roberto Pecchioli in my somewhat stilted English translation.  -J.R.

Woke Phenomenology. Ugliness in Power

I came upon an old book on the condition of the working class. It is a souvenir of my father, from a print shop shaped by the old Salesian school. Amidst the yellowed photographs and the pinch of tenderness felt for the world of yesteryear, one thing in particular leaped to the eyes in a somewhat excruciating manner: the personal dignity of the clothing, the posture, even the gaze of our parents. They were poor people and yet proud, neat and proper in their dress, bearers of a dignity and an order, both exterior and interior, that we have mislaid.  The comparison with the present is devastating and this author, arriving at the edge of a serious age, mourns those younger, destined to live together with decadence.

“Ugliness has progressed in a spectacular manner, above all from the time that wokism was transformed into the Religion of the State.

The unclean contemporary world is unclean from many points of view, and the movement downwards towards the pit becomes more rapid. In the last few years the woke radicalism of the “awakened ones” has deformed everything. Ugliness has been imposed upon us; ugliness has become a program for living. This is the obvious conclusion of a process of deconstruction of reality, a negation and cancellation that has removed from existence all meaning. There are no more wayfarers, but rather nomads without a destination, without a center, without baggage. With pride, they call this the “autonomy of the subject”. The result is a slovenliness visible even in the gait and in the posture, in clothing composed of torn trousers, t-shirts with horrendous or frightful images, and vulgar or stupid slogans—rigorously in English.

Our surrounding environment is fitted perfectly to the unraveled humanity that ambulates through it: ugly buildings, parallelepipeds, cubes of various colors or none at all, walls and trains defaced with all manner of doodlings—they call it “street art”—since words and concepts must be slurred in “globish”. It is natural that ideas and visions of the world should be what they are.  There exists a true and fitting phenomenology of the “Fifth Estate”, the “Plebs” (how can one call it something different?) in its consolidated model: progressive, woke, individualist, tattooed, and trivialized. The most inane succeed in besmirching or destroying art out of “environmental” motives. The prevalence of the cretins among them leads to tyranny and nihilism.

According to the current mentality, the order of things is founded on “nothing”. Rather, an order of things simply does not exist. “Nothing” sustains the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. This is not the place for delineating the ideological origins or the “cultural” sources for the development in question. Nevertheless, the anthropological reconfiguration has taken place under a clear direction whose conclusion is anomiei.e., the absence of normsthe danger from which Emile Durkheim, the father of sociology, warned us against. An anomie claimed for one’s own, flaunted as a trophy, the victory of “nothing”. For Foucault, “the final form is the norm of the absence of norms, the norm of the norm-less”.

For the first time in history abnormality is the base of normality. “The abnormal, the deviant is transformed into the cornerstone of the world, and in all realms, even in that of art turned into non-art, in which ugliness and insignificance are transformed into the pillar of something which—one does not understand why—one continues to call beautiful. Even in the realm of sexuality (or gender) that which they seek to impose as a norm is the abnormality of the transsexual and of the homosexual, which is not and cannot constitute the norm, the directing principle”. ( J. Rùiz Portella).

“The Wokes are ‘awakened ones’ who are actually drugged, drugged by ‘nothing’, want to cancel everything, annul everything, abolish everything”.

Here lies the reason through which the madman, the prisoner, the “damned of the earth” of Franz Fanon—the deviant who in gender ideology takes the form of the transsexual—constitute the inverted paradigm of the good and the beautiful, of the just and the true. Contrary to the appearances, despite how much the nihilists make one believe that they call everything into doubt and demolish everything, what they try to impose upon us in not the “nothingness” of a liquid “liberty” dissolved in the sand. The objective is the imposition of an order of things more harsh than that of all the orders of the past. Despite the appearances, the libertarian liberal regime is ferociously despotic, founded upon the claim to build the world on the absence of any other diverse principle of “absolute” liberty, loosed from all bonds and limits. It is the deceptive false liberty that flows inevitably into the norm of the abnormal.

The phenomenologyeven the physiognomy—of the woke universe is a triumph of the ugly, the deformed, the bizarre, the absurd, and the “bent”.  In the moment in which the abnormal and the deviant are raised up as the norm, something never seen before in history arises. When the delusional criterion through which the abnormal becomes the basis of the normal, and folly of wisdom, and ugliness of beauty, the most elementary bases of existence crumble.

Ugliness; it is precisely this. It is ugliness. No one has ever seen a people so ostentatiously and politically ugly before. For someone who demands this and indoctrinates us in it—ostentatious ugliness is a political project, announced this way as with the black flag of pirates. It is the symbol of one who does not have a flag and lives to trample everything. François Bousquet writes that in the United Statesthe pit and motor of the Empire of the Inverted—“ugliness has progressed in a spectacular manner, above all from the time that wokism was transformed into the Religion of the State. “The Wokes are ‘awakened ones’ who are actually drugged, drugged by ‘nothing’, want to cancel everything, annul everything, abolish everything”. For Bousquet the woke ideology is the union of Mister Ugly with Miss Ugly; but inasmuch as the wokes are rather touchy regarding the story of non binarity, it is better to have recourse to inclusive writing, and thus let us say that it constitutes the marriage of M. Ugly with M. Ugly.

They do not need to expound their program: they wear it on their faces as a provocation to mother nature. It is sufficient to look at their photographs, bump into one of their demonstrations, find oneself in a place frequented by them to have before the eyes a museum of horrors. Ugly, generally dirty (washing oneself rarely is a new environmental commandment), mean or made mean in their behavior, aggressive. Some are similar to Halloween pumpkins, to which they have become accustomed since infancy. Many exhibit androgynous features united with physical and behavior neglect.

Things are; they exist. They are full, radiant with sense and wrapped in mystery, in that conjunction of light and obscurity without which there would be neither the world, nor being, nor beauty, nor art, nor meaning.

Hair died in unnatural colors dominates: gaudy green, florescent pink, orange, a violet made grim by the bitter rage in which they are drenched. They make one think of the mask of the Joker, the character of the Batman comics with his hysterical laughter and horrendous grimace, the grotesque protagonists of the itinerant performers of times past, of the bearded cannon lady, of the fire eater of Pinocchio. They have nothing to do with the dignified savagery of Queequeg, the harpooner of Moby Dick, the tattooed giant, the son of a tribal chieftain who abandoned his people to visit the world, inseparable from Yojo, a little idol that he venerates like a divinity.

In the new version of the fairy tale Snow White—-loathed by Paola Cortellesi, the latest Italian progressive icon—-the stepmother has taken power and no longer asks the mirror on the wall if she is the most beautiful in the realm. “Mirror of my yearnings, tell me, who is the ugliest of the realm?” Snow White itself will soon be prohibited. She is white, heterosexual, the prince who kisses her did not ask her permission, and—-horror of horrors—-both are incredibly good looking. That which the woke spirit wants to destroy is the ultimate dike allowing inequality: beauty. For that reason, we are watching the deconstruction of beauty, along with its de-legitimization and profanation. The wokes perceive beauty as aggression and offense. What the ultimate Zero Man must hold to be respectable is the abasement of his nature right up to its final degradation.

Perhaps the true class struggle is not that between rich and poor, but the millennia long war that the poets, the refined, the noble and the knightly have conducted against the dominating class of the crude and the vulgar; the war of the gentleman versus the swineherd; the struggle between those who sustain the columns of the temple and those who profane and destroy them. Are we exaggerating? No, we are limiting ourselves to observing a phenomenon of ugliness, degradation, and decomposition that is unfolding under our eyes and changing the panorama surrounding us.

The woke phenomenon, together with ugliness, has to do with an aggressiveness and an activism that is crude, trivial, and an enemy of real dialogue; it rides roughshod over all proper social conduct, private and public.  Certain behavioral traits, a specific psychic typology, seem to correspond to the physical features described. What is woke becomes a prey of the mental virus of “awakening” that resets and reconfigures body and soul. The most common peculiarity is an absolute and indestructible petulance, haughty in the debates with all contrary opinions.  From the petulance springs the absence of any concern for a personal challenge, any interior dialogue. There is no evidence that the woke individual attempts to understand anyone who is not woke. That generates a perpetual anger that leads to quarreling, to the hostility manifested in every which way on whatever occasion. The predisposition to burn the bridges with friends and relatives of diverse opinion is an ordinary one.

The contempt for any transcendent hypothesis rules the roots, accompanied by a crude nihilism, convinced that everything is useless and senseless, an attitude expressed with a presumption coated with a display of superiority. The woke are led to deny or twist any truth. When they lower themselves to discussion and have used up all their arguments, they easily pass to personal attack. Their hatred for the past assumes pathological characteristics. All they do passes through an egocentrism typical of someone who is convinced of possessing the truth. In reality, it is often a symptom of anxiety and low self-esteem, an effect of nihilist vertigo.

We ask the horrible woke generation not to succumb to the deception that envelopes it. To cancel everything, to make a tabula rasa, to judge everything with the changeable yardstick of today, renders you objects adrift.

The degradation that leads to the absence of any starting point of direction, to a generalized meaninglessness, then needs to be filled to the brim in some manner so as not to sink completely. It is from this need that the woke individual persists in maintaining democratic appearances, demanding abstract liberties, and is willing to overturn everything (an impotent project!). He is focused on a self-hatred, the cancellation of all things past, a rancor against excellence and beauty, the making of unsustainable comparisons; he is hateful and hated. But in the swamp of anomie, of a fluidity that has become gaseous, of the war of all against all, above the physical and interior ugliness of the woke universe, everything is overpowered by the law of the strongest. It is a jungle dominated by one sole final master: money.

That senseless world, deprived of any center point, plays with marked false cards. It is the deception that is unseen, or worse, finally accepted, that leads wokeness to hurl itself into the gully constructed by whoever really guides the game, doing so to the disadvantage of unaware generations: its ideological and oligarchical masters. The program of ugliness, the paradigm of vulgarity, the pressure aiming at cancellation of everything, the vertiginous fascination when confronted with the abyss beneath it, creates victims who are much too naive.  They are victims above all else, obviously a product of their own victimization.

Uncertainty, and a world built on being contrary to reality, cannot survive. The logic of things is not to melt, to cancel themselves as one cancels a design made in the sand on the edge of the sea. Things are; they exist. They are full, radiant with sense and wrapped in mystery, in that conjunction of light and obscurity without which there would be neither the world, nor being, nor beauty, nor art, nor meaning.

We ask the horrible woke generation not to succumb to the deception that envelopes it. To cancel everything, to make a tabula rasa, to judge everything with the changeable yardstick of today, renders you objects adrift. The negative thought, the child of the great refusal prescribed by Herbert Marcus (who perhaps you do not even know, because he too is a child of yesterday) leads to a thousand dead ends. You are passing through all of them: hatred of yourselves, dependencies on things external, the incapacity to believe in something, the aversion for those who have faith in a cause or in a system of values, the draining of yourselves and your ensuing disfiguration, the anxiety that raises the bar of what you believe one needs to desire to hide the emptiness of what it is that is actually devouring you occupy your whole life and make you slaves. Ugliness is a cross, not a program.
