Veteran Hollywood actor and practicing Catholic Mark Wahlberg’s new movie, “Father Stu,” has been garnering a great deal of press. The film is about a hard-drinking, hard-living man who has a change of heart, gets right with God, and goes on to do good work in his community and beyond.

Now, making a movie about a faith-filled Catholic priest is, in theory, a wonderful thing to do. Regardless of its cinematic merits, or lack thereof, the fact that “Father Stu” was funded by the lead actor himself, Mark Wahlberg, indicates that Wahlberg wanted to convey a Catholic message to as wide an audience as possible. A big-ticket movie potentially reaches hundreds of millions, even billions of people worldwide. By portraying a Catholic priest in (what Wahlberg must have thought, at least, to be) a positive light, Wahlberg was surely trying to proselytize at least as much as he was just trying to make a movie. “Father Stu,” therefore, can be read as an act of outreach, a way of spreading the Gospel in a world often hostile to Jesus and His Church.

Lawfulness seems to be the driving force behind the military’s mandate to receive the COVID-1984 vaccine.  It is not a vaccine to fight off the SARS-CoV-2/Coronavirus.  Neither is it a vaccine developed to target the perpetual variants of this, statistically speaking, nonlethal virus, concerning the military’s healthy, “unvaccinated”, service members.  Yet, the leaders of these healthy service members, the healthy soldiers between the ages of 18-85 whom face a less than 1% death rate from the hystericized virus, have deemed it necessary to mandate the unsafe and inefficient COVID-1984 vaccination.  Mandated against its service members who do not consent to be experimented upon, and who prefer to develop a safer, and more efficient, natural immunity, through their God given immune system.  The same immune system that every vaccine depends upon for its fraudulent claims of efficacy.  The consequences for disobeying an immoral lawful order have caused many intimidated soldiers to follow the footsteps of the old Adam.

Faith-Based Economic Principles in the Era of World-wide Chaos

Is there a new direction to the Great Economic Reset (aka: The World Economic Forum’s Agenda 2030)? Or because of current events, is it an attempt to salvage and accelerate Agenda 2030 to the present? Consider what was recently said in response to the Ukrainian conflict:

On December 26, 1957, Fr. Augustin Fuentes (postulator for the causes of beatification of the Fatima seers, Francisco and Jacinta) interviewed Sister Lucia, the eldest Fatima seer. As Fr. Karl Stehlin describes in his Fatima: The Great Secret of Fatima (volume III), the progressive authorities in Rome soon thereafter sought to discredit Fr. Fuentes and his interview, which should give us some indication of its importance today:

“Why then such a strong reaction to this text? First, this text placed Sister Lucia among the prophets of doom whom John XXIII condemned in his speech at the opening of the council. The Pope, therefore, must not have liked what she was saying. Regardless . . . Sr. Lucia revealed certain details of the Third Secret in this interview.”

What is the ESG and how is Klaus Schwab using it to empower Microsoft and bury Tesla?

In this edition of The Remnant Underground, Michael J. Matt discusses Elon Musk -- one of the Lost Boys of the post-Christian Neverland.

He doesn't even believe in God and yet the Left hates Musk almost as much as they hate God. Why? Michael says he knows exactly why!

By definition, Socialism is a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.  (Essentially Verbatim:  Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, Definition sense number 3, page 1183)

Is the United of States of America (USA) fast becoming the Union of Socialist States of America (USSA)?  Yes!

BREAKING: Pope Francis plants another tree and gets all hot and bothered over climate change again. In this episode of The Remnant Underground, Michael J. Matt discusses the cancellation of Christianity in America, especially on Catholic college campuses.

“Nothing is done in the world that does not relate to our Lord; it is either for Him or against Him, with Him or without Him. Our Lord is the key to the solution of all the problems. There are none here below that are indifferent to our Lord. Men try in vain to work without reference to our Lord, but it is impossible because our Lord is everywhere. He created everything; therefore everything is in His hands. Everything belongs to Him, nothing is outside of Him. Men seek to evade Him, but they cannot because everything is His.”

“[R]elativism … allowing oneself to be carried away with every wind of doctrine, seems to be the only attitude that is fashionable. A dictatorship of relativism is being constituted that recognizes nothing as absolute and … only leaves the ‘I’ and its whims as the ultimate measure.” (Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, homily at Mass before the conclave that elected him as Pope Benedict XVI.) (Emphasis added)

When Our Lady said to the three young children at Fatima, Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia, “Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend Our Lord very much,” I have always thought that there must be something more being warned about than mere articles of clothing. After all, wouldn’t Mary be warning us of major evils to come should we continue on our way of debauchery and sin? And as bad as immodest clothing items are, there were other far worse evils occurring.

Astiterunt reges terræ, et principes convenerunt in unum, adversus Dominum, et adversus Christum ejus (Ps 2 :2). The kings of the earth and the princes have allied themselves against the Lord and against Christ. The Psalm which begins the First Nocturn of Matins on this day declaims succinctly. Let us break their bonds ; let us cast away their yoke from us ! Is this not what we have been seeing happening right before our eyes for a long, too long, a time ? Do not the powerful and the elite want to cancel every tie with God and rebel against His holy Law ? Do they not seek to disfigure the image of the Creator in the creature and the likeness of the Holy Trinity in man ? And how many times are we ourselves tempted to withdraw from the sweet yoke of Christ, ending by making ourselves slaves of the world, the flesh, and the devil?

All of today’s liturgy resounds with the indignation of the Divine Majesty; of the dismay of the provident Father at the revolt of His children; of the sorrow of the Son over the ingratitude of man; of the bitter disappointment of the Paraclete at the insane obstinacy in evil of those who make themselves blind to the Truth and deaf to the Word of God.
