Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

The Communists, the anti-Gospel and the anti-Church

In the recent years of these turbulent times, the number of articles presenting the insights of Bishop Fulton Sheen regarding the anti-Christ has multiplied. His interest is particularly linked to the impact that the Marxist-Leninist ideology, globally spread by the Communist Party, had both before and after the Second World War. Speaking about the polarization that will characterize that final period of history before the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, he seems to see in the “red” ideology the binding force that will unite all those who will form the (anti)mystic body of the ultimate enemy of the Savior. This is what he implies when he refers to those united in evil as “comrades in anti-Christ.” However, of the greatest interest is the description he proposed for the “son of perdition.” Presented for the first time in a radio broadcast on January 26, 1947, and later included in the texts collected in the volume Communism and the Conscience of the West published in 1948, he begins by emphasizing how the anti-Christ will not be:

“The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers. He will not wear red tights, nor vomit sulphur, nor carry a trident nor wave an arrowed tail as Mephistopheles in Faust.”

Almighty and eternal God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we kneel before Your Majesty, and thank You from the depth of our soul for the inestimable gift of the Catholic Faith, which you have deigned to reveal to us through Jesus Christ, True God and True man. We received this divine light in holy baptism and have promised You to keep this faith inviolate until death.

Increase in us the gift of the Catholic Faith. By Your grace, may it be strengthened and made unshakeable. Daily increase in us the understanding of the beauty and profoundness of the Catholic Faith, that we might live in the deep joy of Your divine truth and be ready to sacrifice all things rather than compromise on or betray this faith. Grant us the grace to be resolved to undergo a thousand deaths for even one article of the Creed.

Graciously receive from us sinners an act of humble reparation for all the sins committed against the Catholic Faith by the laity and clergy, especially by high-ranking clergy who, contrary to the solemn promise they made at their Ordination to be teachers and defenders of the integrity of the Catholic Faith, have become champions of heresy, poisoning the flock entrusted to them and gravely offending the Divine Majesty of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Truth.

Grant us the grace to see all the events of our life, and the immense trials our Holy Mother Church is now undergoing, in the supernatural light of faith. May we believe that You will cause to arise from today’s vast spiritual desert a renewed flourishing of faith that will adorn the garden of the Church with new works of faith and give rise to a new age of faith.

We firmly believe that the Catholic Faith is the one true faith and religion, which you invite every person freely to embrace. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the destroyer of all heresies, and the great Martyrs and Confessors of the faith, may the Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith triumph again in the Church and the world, so that no soul may be lost but rather come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of mankind, and through a right faith and righteous life attain eternal beatitude in You, O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To You be given all honour and glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

+ Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana

One of the prayers immediately before Communion in the Traditional Latin Mass expresses the profound desires of Catholics to be delivered from all that can separate us from God:

“O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, Who according to the will of the Father, through the cooperation of the Holy Ghost, hast by Thy death given life to the world: deliver me by this, Thy most sacred Body and Blood, from all my iniquities and from all evils; and make me always adhere to Thy commandments, and never suffer me to be separated from Thee. Who with the same God the Father and the Holy Ghost, livest and reignest, God, forever and ever.”

Cardinal Timothy Dolan apologizes for the US Bishops over-the-top compliance with the covid lockdown.

Bishop Joseph Strickland says that any attempt to sever the Latin Mass from the Church is an attack on the Catholic Faith.

Cardinal Muller says bringing the Pachamama idols into St. Peters was a violation of God’s Law, and before he died, Cardinal Pell said that the upcoming Synod on Synodality is a toxic nightmare.

What’s going on here? Are the bishops waking up to the secret Catacombs Pact that Francis is trying to inflict on the Church?

Tonight, Catholic counterrevolution rising.

Conference of His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò
AT THE UNIVERSITÉ D’ÉTÉ ORGANIZED BY THE POLITICAL MOVEMENT CIVITAS

Not too long ago, English historian Tom Holland, an authority on the world of Late Antiquity, explained the conflict between the political Left and Right in the modern world as essentially a civil war between two branches of Christianity: the implication being that what we term The Left (progressivism, socialism, communism, “wokeism”, etc) is nothing more than a variant of Christianity – albeit one entirely  devoid of a supernatural dimension.[1]

Our Lord Jesus Christ established the Holy Catholic Church to safeguard and propagate the truths and graces He wants all men to accept so that they may honor God and save their souls. As a general matter, it is this fact, rather than our particular liking of Catholic teachings and practices, that leads most faithful Catholics to belong to the Catholic Church. As such, the most important thing we need from the Church’s hierarchy is the faithful transmission of those truths and sacraments that Jesus entrusted to His disciples.

BIG NEWS from the Catholic Identity Conference 2023. (HINT: He’s a cardinal, one of the Church’s top theologians, and a fierce critic of the Synod on Synodality).

120 years ago, on August 4, 1903, the pontificate of Pope Saint Pius X began. Two months later, on October 4, 1903, his first encyclical, E Supremi,[i] was published in order to describe the pontifical program represented by the motto “Instaurare Omnia in Christo” (To restore all things in Christ), used as a subtitle for the text. Revolving around the first verse of the second Psalm of King David, the beginning of the document was dedicated to the situation of the Church in the modern world:

The nations have raged and the peoples imagined vain things (Psalm 2: 1) against their Creator, so frequent is the cry of the enemies of God: Depart from us (Job 21: 14). And as might be expected we find extinguished among the majority of men all respect for the Eternal God, and no regard paid in the manifestations of public and private life to the Supreme Will – nay, every effort and every artifice is used to destroy utterly the memory and the knowledge of God.”

Marko Rupnik: case closed

I’m not going to talk much about the case of Fr. Marko Rupnik, mosaic artist and former Jesuit, from the point of view of its history and particulars. Rather, I’d like to talk about what his art means. The broad outlines of the scandal can be found everywhere. The Pillar Catholic has had pretty steady coverage of all the ups and downs - none surprising if you know something about the situation in the Vatican and the Jesuit order.
